    Wildlands goes into an unplayable stutter with an extreme framerate drop when playing online.


    Since the last update of the game in May, whenever I play Wildlands connected to Xbox Live, after about 15 minutes the game becomes some unplayable stutter as a controller command takes over 30 seconds to complete and the game virtually freezes with the
    audio stuttering along side it. If I'm playing online with people the xbox disconnects from games and parties but doesnt lose internet connection. The slowing also affects the rest of the xbox system such as the dashboard by slowing it until i quit the game
    completely.

    When it happens all other devices in the house briefly disconnect from the Wi-Fi even though the Wi-Fi router still displays all green lights suggesting everything is okay.

    I personally think it is an issue with the router, and I've contacted sky but they're being stupidly slow between replies. Before people tell me I'm in the wrong place as I'm not getting help on the router side of things I wondered if anyone else has had
    this same issue and thinks it is to do with the game or the Xbone console itself.

    Looks like PS4 version of CoD may not be the best version

    Not that I give a crap, but if you read the whole linked article, it states the issue with the "judder" that is perceived as a framerate drop when the game exceeds 60fps, but later on it also re-confirms that there are many times when the framerate does
    drop considerably when there are multiple effects on screen at once. Which is what reviewers were already stating toi begin with, so not sure where the headline "PS4 too powerful for COD Ghosts" even comes from.. So basically on PS4 the game goes too fast
    at times and too slow at other times, both causing the game to stutter and look like poo.

    Why did I stop playing this game?.....Oh yes, I remember now.

    Risen definetly goes on this for me. with a framerate that renders a game completely unplayable.

    i can't think of anymore at the moment. Nice topic VoteDC

    Hi,

    Online gaming on a console and a PC can have two types of latency:

    Lag is when we are referring to internet connection/server latency. Owning the latest Xbox Series X|S won't fix this, if that's where the problem is.

    Framerate and framerate drops are console hardware game specific. If the game is designed to run at 60fps, but there is a lot of things going on on screen this will result in dropped frames and can be seen during play as a stutter/judder, screen tearing and reduced controller responsiveness.

    The Series X (and even the Series S) have much more capable hardware and generally won't drop frames in heavy area's like the now quite old Xbox One S does.

    I am getting horrendous framerates that make the game unplayable. I have Call of Duty 2 installed on my XB1 Internal Storage. It seems that when I pause the game for awhile, and also at random times, the framerate drops to a slideshow. Each time I have
    to either close and restart the game or restart my entire Xbox, just to get back to playing with a normal frame rate.
