Wildfire - upcoming co-op Kinect game

Ran across this info on another gaming forum:

Wildfire - A couch co-op game by name of Wildfire looks to be almost ready. (The store graphic is uploaded, at any rate.) Four firefighters (using gamepads) try to take down the fire monster (Kinect-controlled) - it sounds a bit like Evolve-lite. It appears
to be a very casual game, though.

It's something to do with Game Arena. (I'm not sure what that is).

MS Kinect Studio?

I'd like to see more Kinect games, for sure. The upcoming Fru and Wildfire games look cool, but appear to be limited-content arcadey (if that's a word) experiences. I'm down for something more substantial, even if it's experimental.

 

suggest a co-op

The upcoming F1 2011 game has co-op, I can't wait for this.

 

Sounds as if it could be a party-esque type game. Something you'd play when friends are over.

 

Cant really see it being "couch co-op" if its a kinect game. If it looks good I might give it a shot.

 

At least,it's original....and can be fun.

 

Unfortunately most Kinect lovers really are only interested in voice commands.
IMO Hopefully this will be as fun as Kinect Sports Rivals. Yes, even though most hated it, I actually thought it was fun. Some may think I'm crazy, lol, but at least I'm using my Kinect for more than "Hey Xbox do that now!".

24hrs2live, with only 1 person on Kinect (and up to 4 people using gamepads), there'll be lots of couch use in the local multiplay.

Btw, if anyone uses Twitter, add @ID_Upload ; they seem to be first with announcements of new indiegames coming through the X1 pipeline. Lots of pix, too.

 

What that Goth person said is true. Kinect is awesome for system navigation and it has some other cool features. But I will never use to play a game.

 

I use it in Dead Rising 3,Thief,Tomb Raider,so far.

Only Kinect games,there are no titles for me,maybe D4.

Im with Sword, I love the voice nav, volume up/down and Xbox off but could care less about any Kinect game to date including the 360 kinect library. Would be nice to be suprised with something fresh

 

I love the Kinect Voice Navigation. I do not care for motion control games. I am still trying to beat Fable: The Journey to date. And in my opinion, it is the best to date. (Shamefully) I admit I have played a few MoCap games. Fable: The Journey and
Child of Eden are the only ones that kept my attention. I am not opposed to them, but just do them right. So far I love the voice aspect implemented in DR3, Ryse, and Madden, NBA... and so on.

 

Looks pretty cool, I'd give it a try.

 

In-game, I've used the Kinect sensor for Forza (head tracking), Battlefield (voice commands), Peggle (everything), Dead Rising ("Get off me you damn, dirty zombie!"), Rayman Legends (pausing and menu navigation), Ryse (giving orders), and Xbox Fitness (feel
the burn!).
