Wifi stopped working on XBOX One S after latest update

    Hi,

After performing November 2020 update of my XBox One S (10.0.19041.5082), and rebooting the console, I was no longer able connect to my wireless network. I have tried usual troubleshooting steps (console restart, router restart, trying different wireless
network) but without success. Wired network connection works fine, but I consider this to be my last resort - I would really prefer to have my wireless back.

Has anyone encountered same issue after update or have any ideas how this can be fixed?

    Thanks !

    :)

Hello there @zbiku80, I hope everything is going well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I am sorry to know about the connection situation, but I want you not to worry about it because I am here to help you out! We have multiple detailed troubleshooting steps for this matter on
the official Xbox website to help you take care of it. Before going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the link I was referring to, I would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address and perform a quick power
    cycle:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists after the previous steps have been performed, here is the official link to all the troubleshooting steps that can help sort this out. Please consider checking the link below, and I hope this helps you out.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500
    (UDP).

    Kind Regards
    Stay safe, and happy gaming!

Why is my external WD elements not recognized by my xBox One anymore?

Hello, your not alone on this issue. I have a Seagate One Touch 5TB Model STKC5000601 and it stopped working on my xbox. Notice it after the latest September update to the console. Hopefully it gets resolved in the October update.

Xbox One Media Remote Not Working

I had my Xbox One Media remote stop working for me after months of use. After talking to customer support. They told me to do a factory reset. There was an issue with the latest update. After the reset, it worked. Make sure to select the reset that
    keeps your games and apps.

Xbox turns on but TV is blank

it is normal that equipment such as computers, video games, which are turned off for a long time, stop working.
It`s not normal at all, but can depend on where the items have been stored, ie, moisture, etc.

The problem you are experiencing sounds to be the same as numerous other people with the original Xbox One after the latest console update.

There are various threads about the problem and how to rectify it. Hope that helps.
