    Dear All,

    I use sky broadband and already have settings on the internet/wi-fi to block all explicit content.

    I couldn't get connection to the internet whike trying to sign into xbox live. I realised the settings on my wifi were blocking social media/online gaming. When I've turned the settings back on for online gaming, there was no issue with signing in.

    Now my question is, if my wifi settings are blocking all explicit content - phones/PCs.. does it mean the setting is good enough for xbox live too?

    Even if i have explicit content allowed on xboxlive setting, will my wifi setting block any explicit content even if tried to see it?

    Please advise.

    Network adaptor not working when "instant-on" power mode enabled upon boot.

    It will show me the yellow connect to xbox live message on the main page, but if I go into the network settings, it'll show WIFI as being disabled, and it will not respond to disable wifi option, or enabling it again, nor will it respond to disconnect wifi
    option either.

    I was playing some Earth Defense Force: IA and I disconnected from Xbox Live, I went to check my router and modem, all fine. I went to my Network Settings and checked Wifi and it said I needed a Network Adapter, which confused me as my 360 has wifi built
    in. I tried to restore to factory settings and nothing.

    how can i connect to the wireless in my xbox 360 ? i tried everything and didnt work

    Go to the settings of your Xbox 360. There under the network settings go to the additional network settings and reset it to factory defaults.

    Then have the console search for WiFi networks in the area. Does the SSID of your new modem show up?

    If so, then provide the correct Passkey for the WiFi and connect.

    If the WiFi doesn't show up, check your WiFi router if you have 2.4GHz WiFi enabled. Also make sure that you don't use "exotic" characters in your SSID like Umlauts (ÄÖÜ) or accented characters (áèû) or stuff like that.

    Also could you please describe in more detail at what stage your console fails to connect when you do a connection test to Xbox Live?

    Does it see your WiFi SSID?

    Does it connect to the WiFi but not the Internet?

    Does it connect to the Internet but not Xbox Live?

    Thanks for the help. Unfortunately that didnt work but I figured it out. To hook to the wifi I clicked the “connect to xbox live” on the homer page and prayed it would take me to my wifi settings. It did and once I typed in my wifi it worked. Its weird because
    I’ve never seen and xbox do that
