    Alright I need some help people. like seriously. so a little while ago I needed to run the newest system update and download it to my xbox but I couldn't do that it wasn't possible because my wifi was blocked completely for the xbox, you its funny cause
    when I used my phones hot spot it would start the update but with my netgear wifi box it wouldn't start the update. I ran many tests on the wifi and still didn't work everytime I checked to see if it did. I restarted the xbox and rebooted the wifi multiple
    times but it still doesn't work. Again its funny cause everything else connects like the Roku and all the labtops and pc's and phone, so basically everything connects and runs perfectly on the wifi besides the xbox. when I try and use my wifi with the xbox
    I cant do nothing I cant play games I cant go on the internet although the only thing that works is Spotify but its not all that fast and laggy. so eventually I was able to get the system update done but on a completely different wifi not the one at my house
    I had to use s friends wifi to update it. What do you guys think am I ip banned or no?

    IP address as the banned console.

    Most people are on a dynamic IP, meaning it changes every time they connect to the internet or reset their router.

    The only way to effectively IP ban someone would be to ban every IP in use by their ISP. Doing that would ban thousands of innocent people.

    They don't ban IPs, they ban accounts and consoles.

    Contact your WIFI provider for a IP reset (changing your IP), then report the user on Xbox so this won't happen again.
