WiFi on/off and Controller lose contection

    Hello Community,

Im dont play often xbox so i turned it on yesterday and got an update and the interface is new now.

But then while i played GTA V my controller lost the connection and immdiatly reconnected. then this happend about 3-4 times then my WiFi turned off and on ..

then my controller did not connect to my xbox anymore ..

Sometimes i had that luck that 1 controller connected for some seconds so i put my xbox on default settings. Everything was okay for about 5hours then i finished my downloads and played another game now the same *** returns with my controllers and WiFi.
I cant so anything at the moment.

Can you help me ? Or do I have to send it to Microsoft ??

    Thanks

    :)

This happens often when you lose contection to EA servers, as ReproductioN pointed out. I have been having problems connecting to EA servers myself, I guess EA are preparing server space for BF3.

Xbox one controller disconnects when I lose connection to the internet

I know why my internet keeps disconnecting. What im saying is my controller disconnects when i lose connection. It will reconnect but on rare occasions it will not turn back on. Dont worry about the wifi part. All I need to know is if the controllers are
supposed to drop conneection and then reconnect when the xbox all of a sudden loses internet connection. I dont lose control of the wifi.

Hey there. You can sometimes fix this by turning the console off and unplugging the power from the back for 5 minutes. When you plug it back in, if possible, make sure it's plugged directly into the wall, not a power strip.

You will also want to make sure your system is up to date. Go to Settings, System, Console info & updates, and if it says Update Now, go ahead and do that. You may have to temporarily connect with a wired connection to do this. There may also be updates
    for your controllers available (support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter).

If you're still having issues, run a connection test (Settings, Network) and see if you get any errors or warnings.

This issue is widesprad imo. i have the same issue with a 1 month old halo 5 xbox one console. Controller will lose connection every 30-45 min for 0,5 sec and there is no interference i tested everthing.

The connection will stay in dashboard for 3-4 hours without any problem, only in games my controller disconnected. Yes i reinstalled my games, did a factory reset and power cycle.

I've had issues with this off and on since I got my XBone November of 2014. Sometimes it's minutes between occurrences other times days. I don't know for sure but it has seemed to me that it happens more frequently when my cell phone is really close to
the controller. Just so this info out there and someone from Microsoft does see this My router broadcasts on 2 frequencies. 2.4ghz and 5ghz. I don't know if its involved, but it just seems to me that something is interfering with the signal between the
    xbox and the controller.

Same here. No previous problems, but after update my controllers won't stay connected unless I'm 4 feet or less from the console. This is very frustrating and due to the lack of response I have already purchased a PS4 and will cease all subscription based
services provided by Microsoft. In my opinion there is enough complaints about this specific problem that Microsoft should at the very least acknowledge the issue.

  12. Just purchased the Xbox One on Black Friday. So far I'm on my 2nd console. The first one worked fine for 2 days then froze on the loading screen and wouldn't boot up. Called MS and was on the phone for an hour with no resolution so I exchanged it at Target.
Sooooo I bring the new one home and I go through all of the updates. Everything was fine until I plug my A50 Astro headset in. Every Time I plug them in the controller goes haywire and disconnects. It disconnects and I have to take out the batteries to get
the controller to work. So I went out and bought the 30 dollar headset adapter. Same ***. Called Microsoft again. Was in the phone for an hour again. And again no resolution. Told to exchange it but it has to be a software issue. This problem is horrible and
is to common for there not to be a fix. Microsoft pushed sales for the holidays but there going to lose a lot of money with this issue, and they should. FIX THIS ASAP.

Following the big November 2015 update I now have this issue. I'm 100% convicted this issue has been caused by the update as worked fine before that. Have tried everything to resolve the problem but nothing works. I'm very disappointed with this as I sold
my PS4 to move to Xbox but I may have to go back to Sony if this issue isn't resolved immediately. The console is totally unuseable at the moment.

Same thing here. My console is a Black Friday 2014 assassins creed bundle. The thing has disconnected from day one. After NXOE it seems to be happening more... I've posted on the forums before about it but gotten no response. I've done all the troubleshooting
recommended from Xbox support and tested interference with the wi-fi analyzer android app - nothing. I find it odd that my 360 controller works flawlessly. Hell, I can walk out to the mailbox with the 360 controller and still maintain solid connection.

From other posts I've read online people are saying its a bad wi-fi board that's the issue. Microsoft won't say this officially though.

Did I mention my blu-Ray drive quit reading some discs too? And conveniently right when my warranty ran out as well.... My console sits alone on its shelf and is well ventilated. It probably has less than 100 hrs of disc reading time on it too, and the
"lasers are fading" is what the guy in the Microsoft store told me. While that is probably the case, it's a bunch of crap. I'm sold on the fact that Microsoft cheaped out on the internals of this console in an effort to have higher profit margins...
