It sounds like your laptop is struggling to maintain a stable WiFi connection, especially since your other one worked fine.

If your laptop supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, try switching to 5GHz for a more stable connection. You can do this in your router settings or by selecting the 5GHz network manually.

Make sure your network drivers are up to date. Go to Device Manager, open Network Adapters, right-click your WiFi adapter, and select Update driver. If the issue started after your laptop was repaired, the internal WiFi card might be loose or faulty.

I may need to clear it and start over with the DL update. Maybe my router/modem is going bad. been having other interweb troubles at home, like one PC/laptop not finding my wifi anylonger, but phones and iPads do, weird.

I had the same problem tried downloading the game 7 times on a hard wired connection. Kept getting the disk read error <imagefie61>. I tried everything,till I thought of trying doing it over wifi. Downloaded it over wifi and no problems as of yet.

No my console only freezes when I play big ticket games that take over an hour plus to finish. I only play on rented servers because I own a few of my own servers and am able to play the maps I like and change them whenever I feel like.

i have a computer that i run a dedicated ark server on... the computer never dashboards nor do the people that play on my server.. but for some reason my Xbox one keeps crashing when i play on my own server that is on the same WiFi
