Wifi issues with Xbox one X

As per the reddit thread, I, along with many fellow Xbox one X owners, are having massive WIFI issues when playing online. Generally I can start a game, and the first round or first time in a server, everything is good. As soon as the game rolls into a new
round, or maybe 30 minutes after I start playing, its LAAAAG central. The connection feels broken. This has been an issue since day one with the X, and has meant I simply go and play my original Xbox. although this is a hot topic on reddit, there is no mention
of it here on the Microsoft page. Please advise if there is a fix. Its not just me.... Xbox One X has some serious WiFi issues. : xboxone

xbox one keeps losing wifi connection.

Ports and your ISP usually don't have anything to do with a wireless connection failing, as the WiFi connection is only between your console and the router.

Is your console by chance enrolled in the Insider Preview Program?

While my Xbox One X works without issues via WiFi, the patch notes on some Insider Previews state that they are investigating cases with WiFi connectivity issues, and that people should report via the Feedback tool if their console loses WiFi connectivity.

It would help if you also said which WiFi router you are using, maybe there is an incompatibility between the Xbox One X and certain router models.

Hey, I’m right there with you. I know that doesn’t help you but experiencing the same thing which feels like a slap in the face after spending $500+ for the device.

I have changed WiFi channels and multiple networks and the issue persists. Reset the router and it works for a little bit. I have full 100% signal strength but no data transferring between Xbox and network. My x1s worked fine.

Also all other devices stay connected on the network. Just not my Scorpio edition x

 

I believe this was fixed for people in the alpha ring of the Xbox insider program on March 8th: -

"We have resolved the issue in which your Wi-Fi connection would lag for 3-4 seconds and reoccur after 30 minutes"

This fix has already filtered down from the alpha ring to a couple of the lower preview rings, and it should be included in the public build of the dashboard which I would imagine will be pushed out in early April, although that's just an educated guess.
It might be a little sooner, it might be a little later.

 

This is still not in place, if it was meant to fix this issue.
