    WiFi issues and Party Chat problems


    I was in a party, and suddenly it all muted. When I went to go check it out it said all my friends in the party were offline even though they were in the game with me. After this, I restarted my console and went to check my party out again. I tried to host
    a party, but it told me "Sorry, this is Blocked," and wouldn't let me join nor host any parties. After this started going on for a while, it eventually migrated into not letting me see my activity feed, see my messages or view someone's profile. Now when this
    happens to me, it is all at once along with Internet and Xbox Live connection issues. Today when I first got on, it took me three tries to eventually sign in. I was limited to only the Home section, and it said "Connect to Xbox Live" on the side. I pressed
    it and it only made a noise and did nothing to help me connect. I still had access to the Friends part of the sidebar, but it said everyone was offline even though on Xbox One SmartGlass it said four of them were online. I went to Settings and checked my WiFi.
    The connection was good and so was everything else. Yet...I had to disconnect the Wifi and reconnect it to get the other sections back as well as Xbox Live. My Xbox is still having problems with the glitchy chat and social options. The Wifi and Xbox Live problems
    are getting to me. I wasted the remainder of my Gold membership not being able to play online or host/join parties. Please help me.

    You too huh? EVERY SINGLE PERSON on my friends list tell me they also have party chat problems. I also have these party chat problems. Most people I talk to in online games tell me they also have these party chat problems.

    The console is over a year old now and WE STILL HAVE THESE PARTY CHAT PROBLEMS!

    FIX YOUR PARTY CHAT PROBLEMS MICROSOFT!

    Yep , had to use Skype in the background for friend chat whilst gaming.

    i keep getting disconnected from xbox live parties. please help.

    are you only disconnected from the party or live etc too have you noticed?

    Are you using a wifi or ethernet cable connection?

    If wifi then I suggest trying ethernet, if the issue goes there maybe issue with the wifi on either your modem/provider side or the wifi in the xbox itself. Can my minimal dip in service but enough to drop the chat/party.

    OK this is old and some people may not have this issue but the problem I was having was due to party chat staying on even after exiting party chat but since a few software updates have been put out the party chat thing is not an issue anymore

    I have the same issue, since yesterday xbox live/party chat keeps disconnecting.

    Xbox is using Wifi and has an open nat.

    Called ISP, no problems on their end.

    Tried 2 different routers, still the same problem.

    Internet speeds are all OK.

    So really don't get why this is happening. It's getting really annoying atm.

    I'm getting this exact issue. Why does the XBOX One Party chat suffer so many issues? It's amazing how on the XBOX 360 there wasn't this many problems with the party chat. Now with the XBOX One it's been nothing but issues with the Party chat since the
    system was released.

    My NAT = OPEN

    0X89231806 your network settings are blocking party chat.

    I'm also tired of Microsoft constantly suggesting to do a hard reset on the system. It seems to be their answer to everything. Have a problem? Hard reset your system.

    PLEASE FIX THE PARTY CHAT SYSTEM

    Choose something else to do. Because of your past behavior, you can't send messages

    same problem here except only the party chat issue
