Wifi disconnecting on xbox one x

I have one Xbox (Series X) wired via Ethernet. I can play on WiFi with no disconnects but I prefer a wired connection for gaming.

I had the same issue with my One X. I disconnected my Modem and Router. Then I changed the password to my Wifi in addition to following the steps linked above. It worked for me.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue with your wifi and the console. If you have already attempted the troubleshooting steps available in the Xbox
One Disconnect Solution and you still get the same issue, whether wired or wireless, at your house or at someone else's, then you may want to look into getting your console set up for a repair. Normally, if you use the wizard to troubleshoot, it'll give
you some options like a repair, etc. This up to and including contacting your ISP as some routers or modems have been known to cause these types of issues in the past. We recommend you try all avenues and exhaust troubleshooting prior to setting up a repair
or exchange.

Getting your Xbox console serviced will be a handy guide if you'd like to set up a repair yourself, or you alternatively
have the option to request a call back from Xbox Support for assistance with a repair set up.
When you go to Contact Usto request a callback, follow these steps:

• Step 1 ----Select Xbox One
  
• Step 2 ----Select See other options
  
• Step 3 ----Select topic
  
• Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"
  
• Step 5 ----Select request a call from support
  

Once they call, explain the issue and they will be able to help you.

I am also having the same ridiculous problem. I think there is an issue with the Wifi module in the xb1x. This seems to be too common of a problem for a LOT of people. I also have problems with local services (not just xbl / internet) and the wifi seems
to completely die as though the module completely shuts down. I’m most likely going to have to send this in and the sad part is that this seems to be a factory issue so I do not know if whay I get back will have the same problem.

I’m sure it will come to light later that there is a design flaw with the xb1x.
