    Wifi Connection


    I have had my Xbox One about a month now connecting with a wired connection. I've recently upgraded my router to something a little more substancial and everything in my house can connect to it except the Xbox One. I've got phones, tablets, laptops, smart
    TV all connected. The TV is no more than 8 inches from the Xbox and it has a full service signal. My network come up on the list of available networks but when i enter the password ( and yes it is correct) it says it cannot connect.

    Why when i test my xbox live connection does it say its working, but it doesn't?

    How are you connecting to the internet? Are you using a wired connection, or a wireless (WiFi)? I had a console where a WiFi connection would give me occasional problems, so you would want to check that out.

    Is ethernet faster than wifi on downloads?

    Let's look at it for a sec, 802.11g wifi is a measly 54Mbps, but even if you have a FiOS 50Mbps internet connection, wifi is still faster than your connection. But things like latency really bog down wifi.

    I am having a similar like problem. Fresh out of the box i set up my Xbox to connect with my WIFI. There were no problems and everything went smoothly. Until yesterday. I cannot connect my Xbox to the same connection anymore. It keeps saying Can't connect.
    Check your network name and password and try again,. I have reset the router and even changed the password. None of which made a difference.

    Can anyone help me, or us, out?

    I wish I knew the answer, my xbox one combinable forgets the network information including the ssid and password. If it gets annoying to have to continually enter the information just to reconnect to the internet.

    Is your phone connected to the wifi or mobile data?

    I belive you have to be connected to the same WiFi as the xbox do the first connect.
    Phone is connected to Wifi.

    Are you playing with mobile connection or with wifi connection?

    Mobile connection is not strong enough to keep your account connected to the server. Best is to connect with wifi connection.

    if wired connection is working fine - use it

    if u need to use WIFI connection - disable wifi networking on router, set new name (ssid) enable wifi networking from router (keep secure with wpa2/psk at least), SET Wifi Channel to default, and SET COUNTRY ! try to connect through wifi
