Wifi connection problems

my Xbox one s keeps randomly dropping the wifi connection and saying it's wired then it always makes me put the password in when it does. And when I'm on YouTube the wifi seems good at first then after a hour or two it seems to drop a lot I have it on energy
mode I also had it one fast boot mode but it doesn't change a thing in the newest update

Why when i test my xbox live connection does it say its working, but it doesn't?

How are you connecting to the internet? Are you using a wired connection, or a wireless (WiFi)? I had a console where a WiFi connection would give me occasional problems, so you would want to check that out.

Maybe a problem with your connection. what is your internet like? you using eathernet or wifi to connect the console?

Sorry to hear about the connection troubles you're having! To check, do you have any USB devices plugged into your Xbox One? If so, let's try removing those to see if there's any change.

Also, are there any other wireless devices around your Xbox One that may be interfering?

Lack of connectivity might be a Issue ensure everyone is connected to the home LAN (WiFi or cable), free WiFi or someone else's open WiFi can cause problems. If the server and players are not all connected to the same connection in the same way, cable
vs WiFi, that can also be a problem. Hope this help you out.

This could be a genuine hardware error or a glitch.

Try disconnect all the power cables from your console and leave the Xbox powered off for 10 minutes and then reconnect everything back again.

Post back and let us know how that goes.

If the console is connected by cable, what's your problem with wifi? you want turn off the wifi?!

But serious for now, you have some WiFi connection problems with your Xbox Console?

Other devices in your home dont have any issues (WiFi devices)?

The connection works before correct?

You can try to restart (power off & power on) your router / WiFi accesspoint.
