You are referring to old devices. Devices that pre-date 2012. While still available, they are not "new" 2012 or 2013 devices. To date, Roku has not released a new device since 2011 with analog support.

If you want the 3 there is no difference other
than wireless features and remore feature.

There are
numerous differences between the Roku 2 XD and Roku 3.



Also notable is that Roku discontinued the previous top of the line, Roku 2 XS, when the Roku 3 shipped. The Roku 2 XS had composite support. This leaves the decided less feature-filled Roku 2 XD as the next step down from the HDMI-only Roku 3.
