Discus and support Wi-Fi range diminished after updates in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My console (Xbox One S) can't detect any more my Wi-Fi network, specially the 5G band which is the fast one.     Wi-Fi range diminished after updates


    My console (Xbox One S) can't detect any more my Wi-Fi network, specially the 5G band which is the fast one. It used to work pretty well until a month ago or so. I have to place my smartphone next to the console in order to at least detect (not always)
    my network. Even my PS4 slim, next to my Xbox console is able to connect normally.

    Try refreshing your WiFi settings on the xbox see if it helps .

    Are you using you phone to get online, or do you have a Internet connection 🤔👍

    Wi-Fi 5G connected from the router (ASUS 1200g+) in the living room and console in the bedroom. I said smartphone as any other decice to strengthen the signal, because otherwise 5G network wouldn't even show up in the list.

    I managed to update the console to 10.0.19041.1900 OS version, and seems to detect better the signal. Also changing DNS to manual (1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1) helped a bit. I get 100-140 Mbps download from a 300 Mbps network, which I think is ok compared to my PC (ASUS
    PCE-A68) 200-240 Mbps download.

    5ghz band is has a reduced range, and is more prone to interference., you may need.to reposition in order to pick it up. Have you moved anything in the house around which may cause the issue?
