Discus and support Wi-Fi connections issues with one X when using 3 metre hdmi in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have now bought 2 different 3 metre hdmi leads to try and connect my xbox up to a monitor.     Wi-Fi connections issues with one X when using 3 metre hdmi


    I have now bought 2 different 3 metre hdmi leads to try and connect my xbox up to a monitor. For some reason with these leads connected my xbox seems unable to connect to Wi-Fi???? Its works fine with a shorter lead??? I can't understand how the hdmi lead
    can cause this? Any ideas?

    Try to
    Factory Reset     your console. Note: Choose "Keep all games and apps" to not lose any current installations.

    If it is the cable,sounds like a shielding problem. Use better cables

    I was under the same impression, how can the hdmi affect the Wi-Fi?? However it works ok with a shorter lead, I even tried using the shorter lead to allow the xbox to connect then swapping the leads over, initial it shows the Wi-Fi connected but then after
    a short period it comes up with dns connection error!

    I also tried changing the output to 1080p. This seemed to allow the Wi-Fi to connect but again showed DNS error when testing connection!

    The HDMI and the WiFi should not be conflicting, this may be an issue under the video settings. If you can try using an ethernet connection but I imagine this is an issue with the video settings

    If that worked would that prove that the Wi-Fi receiver in the Xbox is at fault ?

    As my Xbox series x and Xbox one connect and play perfectly online via the same Wi-Fi
