Wi-fi and controller disconnecting constantly

Followed every support page, troubleshooting, user input that I could find. Hard resets, updates, wireless configurations, console relocation, etc has all failed.

My wireless connection and controller disconnect and then immediately reconnect every two or three minutes. Wired controller/hardwired internet connection do not resolve the issue. Reset and reconfigured my wireless network following microsoft's suggestions
for optimizing my network in the troubleshooting pages with no success. Signal strength fluctuates between 70-85% before dropping. Controller disconnects simultaneously every time.

My home network uses two computers, a laptop, phone line, 2 cell phones, ipod, tablet, and two Xbox 360s at any given time - all hold connection fine. Disabled wi-fi on all applicable devices, and disconnected and powered off all devices from my home network
leaving only the Xbox One console. Console still fails to maintain connection. Automatic/manual network settings make no difference. Been troubleshooting non stop for the last six hours, quickly wasting my one day off for the month. Would appreciate some advice.

Xbox one controller and Wi-Fi connection disconnecting at the same time

My controller and Wi-Fi are disconnecting from my Xbox one at random times. The controller will disconnect, and then the Wi-Fi connection will disconnect, making online gaming impossible. I have tried resetting the controllers, Xbox one, and router, but
nothing has resolved the issue. I have also used two different controllers with the same issue. I am playing on an original 500gb Xbox one with a standard controller. I have an At&t U-verse router. I have not had problems with any of these before now.

 

My controllers keep disconnecting with xbox one x .Need help to resolve problem.Did everything what is possible.Need HELP!!!!

During the any games controllers just keep disconnecting,wi- fi problem but how to fix it?

 

Update: Occasionally also throwing "Restart Wireless" error when trying to reconnect: "There may be a problem with the console's wireless hardware. Try restarting it, and then wait a few minutes for the controller to connect again."

As much as I hate to say it, the console may need to go in for repair, as it seems like a faulty wireless receiver. I only jump straight to that, as you've obviously gone through all the troubleshooting steps, and I've heard previously that this is an issue
effecting some people. What makes me think that, is the fact that its not just one or the other, but everything using wireless that is bugging out.

Hopefully someone else might be able to chime in with some further tips, but as far as I can tell, it will need to go in

I really hope that's not the case. Most of the connectivity issues I'm seeing online were pretty dated. I'm hoping there's been a more recent solution to this behavior. Stepped out for a few hours. Signal strength seems to have gone up slightly, and it's
not doing the disconnect/reconnect every 2 minutes. Will update as issues arise.

 

Agreed, it is a very dated issue, so hopefully that is not the case. Just be aware of the warranty periods and all that, better to get it fixed sooner then wait and miss the warranty... as I did with my 360 lol

Thanks, I did go through both pages previously.

Console worked uninterrupted for about an hour and a half last night. As of right now it's disconnecting only the wi-fi every ten minutes or so.

 

Update: Same issue today, decided to stay offline today, disconnected from my wi-fi, turned off online mode, controller does not disconnect but 'freezes' every few minutes or so from 10-30 seconds with whatever the current button input was. Not sure if it's
related to the wi-fi/controller disconnect issue.

 

Update: Controller is not maintaining connection. Been using the USB wire. Wireless will not sync at all, and wired will hold connection but button/stick input will freeze every 20 seconds or so. No resolution after the third hard reset. This has gotten
rather frustrating, I'm really hoping my hardware is not defective but I'm out of ideas.

 

Update: Still no resolution. Spent 2 hours on the phone with MS support, no success. Disabled wireless networking on the Xbox to play offline, controller continues to disconnect. Picked up a brand new Gamestop Wired Controller, same issue persists. I'm almost
positive it's a hardware failure with the console at this point. Controller will maintain connection for MAYBE an hour at random.

 

Update: Just to follow up, wound up setting up a repair order and had the console repaired. Got the console back about a week ago, zero problems. Definitely defective hardware. Issue resolved.
