Why ?

So why does Microsoft let people get away with Modding video games?

I use to play BO2... but it got soooo bad with modders and cheaters, it was like why even try anymore.

Now I play World Of Tanks... oh and the modders and cheaters are on there too.... really Xbox, come on!!!

I lose my main account just over a year ago, because I over reported player's for modding and cheating....

I use to receive comm. bans, because I have nothing nice to say about someone who mod's or cheats a video game....

According to Microsoft it is ok to mod or cheat a game, nothing happens to these people, but if you over report them you will lose your account.... it's happened I know.

And don't you dare practice your First Amendment.... according to Microsoft ToS, you are not allowed to practice freedom of speech, you might hurt someone's feelings, even though they are modding and violating those same ToS, but because it is easier for
them to go in and listen than it is for them to go in and see.... you get a 2 week comm ban.

So I pay for my Gold membership, to watch what I say, and get destroyed by modders..... that's some great work XBLET!!!

Sorry to hear about the Daily Challenge trouble. So that we can best help out, can you please let us know the trouble you're having with challenges? If you haven't already, please give your PC a full restart to see if that helps.

 

As long as you file complaints on them, the enforcement team will investigate them and take action. They do not tolerate it. However, it is up to the game developers to patch their games to stop the modding. Unfortunately developers tend to ignore their
games once a new one comes out, so older games like BO2 start to become overrun.

 

Yeah, it does suck. I have dealt with a lot of modders primarily on Call of Duty Black Ops, and sometimes on Left 4 Dead and Halo Reach but I don't play those games much anymore. Each time I have reported modders, there was no reply. I wrote the Xbox Live
Enforcement team, for my area, about a modder from Left 4 Dead but I guess it's just not a priority with older games is all I can figure.

 

The enforcement team does not reply when you report someone. Occasionally they may send a thank you message, but that is extremely rare. It doesn't mean they aren't looking into it and taking action though.
