Why xbox app failed to see my hardrive size?

Hi George,

I was getting and error to install, then I removed all previous Minecraft Launchers using windows ccleaner unistaller, so right now I have no other launcher installed.

My windows version is win 10 ver 22h2 and is uptodated.

Xbox app was uninstalled and reinstalled from the ms store using powershell

Xbox companion is installed

Did the system file checks: dism and sfc as requested

Did the chkdsk as requested

Xbox app still unable to detect my harddisk size to install the launcher.

My PC drivers are updated

My Mstore and xbox account are the same, this email.

Downloaded the last windows launcher from Minecraft.net

This new installer is giving this error: 0xUnknowappinstall

I just got a new update request on the xbox app, will test it asap.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

Being in use the system will ask if the user wants to check the chosen drive after reboot. Just type S and restart the computer.

My external hardrive and my flashdrive are the same shape and size so my current problem is why can't my xbox recognize that? I have the OSU1 for the original xbox on the flashdrive. I'm not sure if the full System Error code is needed but i'll put it here
just in case it means something.

A lot of times this is very common with hardrives. When there are portioned ext the size is smaller then what is stated on the the enclosure.

it really depends on the size of your xboxes hardrive. Yes it must be an active xbox live account with a gold membership, if you have silver you will not be able to download anything on to your file share.
