Why would you lock me out of my own email address?

Did you have two-factor authentication (2FA) active on the account? If you do have the 2FA active, are you able to access the second factor of authentication? If so, please try resetting your password. Important: The account recovery form can only be used if two-step verification isn't turned on.

Microsoft locks accounts to ensure your security and the integrity of their system as a whole. The system is automated both ways.

Microsoft takes account security very seriously, that's why Account Recovery is an automated process with no human influence. If you don't have the correct information, you may not be able to get through account verification using the Recovery Form.

The Account Recovery Form requires adequate information to prove that you are the owner of the account. The Account Recovery Process can be a time consuming process, but providing as much info as possible from the start of the process will increase the possibility of being verified by the automated process. You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft.

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. That sucks. How/why did you get locked out of your email address? There's gotta be a way to rectify the situation. If not, then $550 for 5 games and a One, im sure, will make someone reallllllly happy.

Yes. That's what I was meaning to. The hacker changed and replaced your account's email address to his own email that's why you cannot access it with your own email address. So basically, your Microsoft/Xbox account has now a different primary email address which is used to sign in or login to the account - that's the email that you must find out to start the recovery process.

Given that your previous email address is a 3rd party email, I believe you still have access to its mailbox. It's the one I was referring above for you to check for any confirmation email regarding your account information change.

I reallyt dont understand why i can not be allowed to access my account when i have the credit card details and the cosole ID number and all of the other releavant details, i have my email address and my login password and for no apparent reason , microsoft has locked me out for suspicous activity , and the only way i can get back in is by accessing my email account, but as i have stated , this account has been cancelled as its an old email i signed up with years ago.

I do not understand why there is no way to access my account that i pay the monthly bill for ?

it would seem the only recourse you are giving me is to cancel my microsoft accounts through my bank.

Yes, this is considered an alternative email address. In this case, I'm not sure why they locked your accounts. Have you tried to unlock them?
