    Why would you allow a system update when I am mid game online?


    So I am playing Gears Of War 4 online in a multiplayer competitive mode and a system update starts automatically. Seriously that is the most annoying thing to happen.

    Cant you adjust a setting so that the update does not start when people are mid game?

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    system updates need to be less intrusive

    can you make system updates less intrusive? this is a recurring problem for me. i get interrupted mid game frequently for system updates and I've had enough. i probably wont buy another system from you until this gets resolved. it wouldn't be so bad if
    there was an option other than download update, or continue and go offline. please just notify me about the update and let me decline for now and continue what i was doing. this has been occurring for months now. this is not an issue regarding changing my
    settings to allow for automatic updates. that's what i was told when i contacted support the first few times this has happened.

    Xbox Insider Alpha Ring Update When Playing?

    So, I'm in the Xbox Insider Program as part of the Alpha Ring and one complaint I have is that the console always kicks me off when I'm mid-game, this was a feature gamers hated when it was first introduced, so why bring it back in the Insider Program? Can't
    you just update my device without booting me mid-game, I do have the option set for updates to be applied when my console is off mode. Who decided that this was a genius idea?

    My idea for a perfect updating option would be if the console has been idle for a few hours then the console would produce with the update as set by the users time, not this auto-update whenever bs.

    (Additional) Why is there an update almost every week half the time I don't even notice anything new?

    I do not understand why you guys have led this user to believe they can update their black ops 2 game via a usb stick, unfortunately "unless the games company allows access to that" "which would be somewhere on their site or accessable through an support
    member on their site" this is not possible, the only updating you will be able to access with usb on xbox is an system update which you can find a list of updates in the support forums.

    I would link you to it but from what I am getting at is you do not need an system update you need an black ops 2 update.

    I don't think you understand what I am saying. While I am in the middle of an online game, it suddenly just stuts off. I hear the sound when it turns on, and it shuts off. Ironically when I turn it on with the control it no longer makes any sound. You are trying to tell me it is perfectly normal for my system to shut off mid game in the 1st of 2nd game I play. That is not normal at all.... Thankyou for the reply

    Why Does The Xbox One Need To Connect To Internet?

    registration, updates post production, fixes to the internal DRM.. the obvious reason why you would need an ONLINE gaming system to connect ONLINE when you buy it...

    I wonder how many actual consoles being bought will be 100% offline and never connected? I say less than 5% the majority!

    How to boot up apps and games - temporary solution

    Try this one instead for online Play

    I have found a Temporary Fix

    You will need to go into your storage do a cache clean 3 times, then Press LB RB X LB RBX on your storage device screen. This will remove your System Update. Hit Yes. System will restart> When it loads back up decline the update. If you have Auto Sign in
    active disable it. Restart the console. Allow the update to proceed. After the system update completes, DO not sign it yet. Load the game off line. When the game loads and prompts you to sign in do so. if the game needs an up date allow it. the game will load
    and play online.

    When you need to switch games repeat only the process of restart the console and starting the game or app offline then sign in. This temporary fix is working.

    Amazing experience playing X1!

    No way Quantum Break will be coming out sometime next year. Remedy would not have allowed their game to be shown this early if it was to come out in a couple years. I am betting around mid 2014, or earlier.
