    Why won't you let me choose which language I want to play games in


    I live in Latin America and I'm subscribed to Xbox's Game Pass on PC specifically to play Alien: Isolation but the game is only in Spanish. I hate playing games
    not in their original language.

    When I bought this PC it came with a preinstalled version of Windows 10 Home single language edition (Spanish of course), so I had to register my account in Spanish with no option to change it so the game installed automatically in Spanish. Everything I
    could find online said that I had to change my system's language in other to play the game in English, well recently I upgraded my hard drive to an SSD because the previous one was faulty and I reinstalled Windows 10 using Microsoft Creation Tool, this time
    I changed it to Windows 10 Home Single Language English but surprise surprise, the game is still in Spanish again with no option to change it at all even though my PC is now completely in English.

    We live in a globalized world, I can speak, read and understand perfect English, why not give us the ability to choose how we want to experience a game?? Why not have both the original game's language and also the one from the user's country/region??? I
    don't want Xbox to choose for me which way it thinks it better for me to play a game only based on my geographic location!

    I feel like I've been cheated out of my money since Xbox or the game don't say anywhere which language it'll be installed in.

    Sadly I will not renew my subscription to Game Pass.

    Actually, it's because the gamepass version installs 5 different directories of the game for the languages instead of just letting you choose which language you want to install. A whopping 500% file size increase because they didn't think to just let you choose the language, or have it only install language files.

    Hello. I have this very same problem. Gears of War 4, for instance, lets me choose the game language, but Wolfenstein II just does not. That option is nowhere. I want to play the game in english, and not in portuguese.

    Windows is in english

    I live in Brazil

    Xbox app interface is in portuguese (and has no option to change it)

    Other games (like Gears of War 4) let me choose the language, but Wolfenstein is stuck on portuguese.

    Hey there Brute! If you purchase the game from a German account, it will most likely be in German. There is no way to choose which language you want; the language is determined by the region. I hope this helps.

    I know a good solution:

    Let the people choose between all supported languages instead of the ones of their country.

    Just put the languages of the country in front of everything else, but let them choose whatever they want (I want everything in English as the translations really annoy me).
