    Why wont my xbox record 2 minute videos to my flash drive anymore?


    Before we get started, Yes, my flash drive is up to spec and speed, and I have moved all clips and pics from it long before it ever fills up for at least 2 years. Ive used this same flash drive daily with no problems since I purchased it. Xbox is set the record 2 minutes of high definition footage. Now recently its been only recording 3 or 4 seconds of game play when I use the "record that" feature, after the first few full 2 min clips.

    I haven't tried completely reformatting the flashdrive yet, thats my next move. If its not that though, has anyone else solved this issue or experienced it before?

    Any help is VERY appreciated!

    my xbox will only let me capture 2 minutes of video at 1080p. And lets say in the game I'm running and the recording stops as I'm running. I'd have to stop playing/running and start recording/running every 2 minutes.

    @EzMac3, My profile is not on my hard drive after I reinstalled my XBOX software. The other 2 profile of the family are still there but mine disappeared and now it doesn't download anymore. I even tried the steps from alienroll but the same result.

    The good thing is that the profile is downloaded on the flash drive but would you know why I am unable to move it back to the hard drive.

    You are using a USB flash drive that is NOT compatible with the Xbox, that is all. Try a Sandisk since they make the official Xbox USB flash drives.
