    Why won't my Xbox one load anything?


    I can sign into my profile on my Xbox just fine. It will take me to my profile and I can press on my games, however here is the problem.

    It will only work for a minute and then it won't load the game like its buffering (this includes games that are downloaded and don't need a disk) and another problem now is if I try to sign out it won't load any of the other profiles.

    I tried presses my my profile icon too to do this, pressing switch profiles won't load either.When I go to play a game the screen stays black.

    My internet works smoothly and everything seems normal until I try to load literally anything (even chats)

    I rather not lose all my progress on my games by factory resting so do I just Hard reset (and will the hard reset erase my games?) Or waste more money on a new Xbox and simply transfer my games? I'm at a loss right now (this problem just started recently too)

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    I have here steps that we can try, please perform an extended power cycle and reset your network hardwar by following the steps below:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    I'm really sorry that my previous answer didn't help you and it seems like you've already tried everything. At this point I would consider taking it to a technical service, but here I leave you an option to be able to factory reset it as you want to see if it works.

    To reset your Xbox with a USB flash drive:

    1.Download the latest version of the Xbox Factory Reset Tool from the Microsoft website.
    2. Create a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space.
    3. Copy the factory reset tool files to the USB flash drive.
    4. Connect the USB flash drive to your Xbox.
    5. Press and hold the Pair  and Eject  buttons for 10 to 15 seconds.
    6. When you hear two power-on tones, release the buttons.

    Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset process.

    If your problem persists, consider taking it for a checkup. Please note that in this public forum there are only players like you trying to guide and help other players with basic problems. We are not Microsoft employees.

    Thank you Hoskayra for your efforts. But unfortunately these methods didn't work.

    I tried the first method a couple of times before writing that message and once more after reading your reply and as we know, it didn't help.

    I would love to try factory resetting it for which you asked me to open the settings page but as I wrote before that when I tried opening 'settings', the Xbox got stuck at a blank screen with the settings logo in the center no matter how much time I give it to load.

    Xbox one won't load anything

    Hi, before someone jumps in and tells you to create your own thread give this a try.

    Power the Xbox off, then press and hold the bind button and disc eject button on the Xbox, keep those two buttons held and press the power button on the Xbox once only. Shortly you should get a troubleshooting screen open up, you can then let go of those
    two buttons.

    From the troubleshooter select the reset console option and the option to keep games & apps.

    Be sure you know your account login details as you will need to add your account back to the Xbox after the reset. Your games and apps will not be removed, game save data will be removed only from the Xbox and will sync back from cloud the next time you
    launch a game.
