Why wont my Series S controller stay on?

I will go to turn it on and the light will come on then almost immediately fade off. I have tried new batterys and even a rechargeable pack. I don't know if I need a new controller or what. If you guys know anything. Please help

Hello, if you have a USB cable, remove the battery from the controller and then plug the cable into the controller and also into the console and see if it turns on and stays on.

i have same issue

Xbox Series S controller freezes and disconnects but the light on the controller stays on,
The problem happened to me a lot and the batteries are new, and i did power cycle, The device and the control were updated

I had the same problem but I sent a series s controller and I got a one s controller in return, and the series s controller I sent came with my Xbox, brand new

There is a difference between the Xbox one S, and the S series..

And it wont run on a Xbox one S... That is total BS in my opinion..
