Why won’t my modern warfare 2 Cross-gen disc play in my Xbox one s

The disk is a place holder

You still have to download the game online 54 gigs for base game and 135 including the day one patch it's only a couple gigs the rest of it you must connect online ro download the full game

I am having a similar issue, except mine is that when I install the full game, it won’t load into the profile after doing all the connection checks.

Now if I just have Co-Op and Warzone, everything is fine, but if I have multiplayer and campaign installed it sticks at the “press A to continue” screen even though it says I am logged into my profile at the top left, and won’t let me go any further than that.

At this point I am out of options on resolving this without having to format my Xbox drives and start over with all my games

Im having the same problem the disc just spins but the xbox wont even register there is a disc in it ....if i stick other discs in it works fine but MW2 no luck my second copy of the game so i know its not the disk or my system and ive also done the factory reset and all that 2 no luck

I had three discs from different stores..

My brother had the same issue.

The last disc (which wouldn't read on my One X or my original Xbox one) works perfectly fine on my Series X.

It's not a faulty disc.

It's older drives and cross gen games.

My One X played everything else perfectly.

It's an issue with these cross gen x/s discs..

Nothing you can say is going to convince me otherwise..

I appreciate you letting me know and I apologize but the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Cross-Gen Bundle only includes both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game, it does not include other items.
