why won’t my headsets work?

Hello all! I purchased an Xbox x two days ago, I haven’t had an Xbox since the 360 however I have a stealth headset and a turtle beach. when I first set up my console two days ago my headset worked fine , I tried to use it in the evening and I can hear party chat talking to me but no game music or Home Screen sounds at all , just whoever is talking to me and they can’t hear me back? I have updated the controller and tried to play around with settings however nothing is working. I’m using the controller that came with the console. Any help would be much appreciated as I spent alot of money and I don’t want to regret it thanks in advance

If it’s still not working, test another headset if possible, just in case the issue might be with the headset jack or internal wiring.

Yes the controller is fully updated and i have firmly attached the headset but still won’t work.

I have the same issue, my headset was working fine and all of a a sudden stopped, I have tried multiple controllers and multiple headsets and nothing is working, have tried using the same headsets and controllers on other Xboxs and they work fine, have
literally watched every single youtube video on it and nothing, thinking of getting a new xbox

I would diffently go back through your party setting and make sure nothing is muted. It only takes a button press of your in the menu. Maybe you hit it on accident?

I think your controller is link to your headset or try to unplug it then plug it back in
