Why wont my gamertag change?

I changed my gamertag 3 days ago and it still is my old gamertag. Online it says it takes up to 48 hours to change but i’ve seen others where they’ve waited weeks and months and it still doesn’t change. Is there a fix or no?

all of it are set to the Philippines. so idk why it wont let me change my gamertag.

Did you pay for the Gamertag change? If yes, please sign in to https://account.xbox.com/profile and check if your Gamertag hasn't been changed yet from there as well.

If there are no changes, you may need to try and change your Gamertag again. Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders first and check if you can see the Gamertag change fee, once you have confirmed, you shouldn't be charged when you attempt to change your Gamertag again via https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag.

Unfortunately you wont be able to revert back to your old gamertag.

If you are trying to change the gamertag back to the old one and it is says its not available then its not available.

The problem is this MS made a new policy change where any new gamertags including changes in gamertags have a limit of 12 characters.

The old gamertag is 14 characters so this is why it is not available for you to change your gamertag back.
