Why wont my game uninstall or update?

Hello LondonQQ, I don't know if you've tried any procedures on the console, but try the procedure below.

If you are playing in a new generation console, like Series S/X is try to remove the games from quick resume.

The first is a clear cache

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords

After that see if you can uninstall the game or update it

mine does work ether it wont update or it wont let me uninstall it from my surface tablet

yes I had update my game and uninstall it now it wont give me the option to redownload it and it is not in my history as if I did not purchase it

No, the updates will only go to the drive that the game is installed to. If the drive is full, the game wont update - or in worse case, will try to update, give an error & completely uninstall the game (personal experience).

I had already uninstalled the game. Any idea why the system wont allow me to reinstall? I can reinstall the "add-ons" but not the actual game.
