Why won’t my game install?

Recently I uninstalled a game that i payed for and own but when i tried to reinstall the game, every time i press the install button either nothing happened, or the game would go into the queue and be stuck at 0% forever. I have a stable internet connection and my console is fully up to date. I am using an Xbox One S but i don’t think that should make any difference.

Hey, thanks for the advice and I did try both of those options. However unfortunately neither worked and the problem still persists.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

I have here steps that we can try, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

"1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. "

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps."

Please, reset your console, you can do it without losing your games and apps.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

It won’t load any games and it won’t give me an option to install new games either

Please try the manual power cycle steps, be sure to wait until the power supply light turns and remains orange for at least 30 seconds before powering on again

If this Does not work try saying out of your profile and signing back in.
