Why wont my 360 games connect to the internet?

I've been having an issue since i tried playing left 4 dead 2 on thursday, (december 8), and when i started it up, it said i couldnt connect to the internet and to test it. I tried to play some other 360 games, and they were doing the same thing. Everything was fine on all the options for testing, so i tried restarting and unplugging my xbox and plugging it back in after a couple minutes. Didnt help either. I cleared all the local saved data on the 360, and the one, soft restarted it as well, where you have to log back into your account after picking that option, unplugging the ethernet cord and using wifi connection, and deleting multiple games, nothing has worked. I also swapped the MAC address as well, nothing. I tried fallout new vegas downloaded on my console, and it didnt work, but when i deleted it and tried cloud play, it worked perfectly fine. Downloaded it again, and it stopped working. Anyone else having the same issues?

Hello again, , we've received some similar occurrences regarding Xbox 360 logins and also games in backward compatibility on Xbox One, while we have no official position from Microsoft.

In this case, we will have to wait for some position from Microsoft regarding this issue.

Hello d3vilDOG421, we've received some similar occurrences regarding Xbox 360 logins and also games in backward compatibility on Xbox One, while we have no official position from Microsoft.

I'll give you a procedure to run the console to see if it connects, but in the meantime it could be a Live servers issue that hasn't been resolved yet.

Cache 360

Clear the console cache this way:

1. Press the XBOX button on the controller, go to "Settings" and select "System Settings".

2. Select "Storage".

Highlight, but don't select, a storage device and press the Y button on the controller to access Device Options.

Note: It doesn't matter what storage device you select. This will clear all storage devices from the cache.***

3. On the Device Options screen, select Clear System Cache.

4. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select "Yes."

Note: After successfully clearing the system cache, you will return to the Storage Devices screen. Press the XBOX button on the controller to return to Xbox Home.
