Why won't Microsoft fix the issues with Chat?

    Why won't Microsoft fix the issues with Chat?


    I reboot my machine, plug my headphones in, playing online CoD AW, I should be able to hear and talk with others also using a microphone.

    It works. Then, I watch television, turn my headset off (because it eats batteries) and then come back later to try to play online. I can't hear anyone on the servers talking and they can't hear me. The only way to fix it is to power cycle my console.
    This has been a problem going back a long time.

    It's obvious that Microsoft does't care to fix this problem. Instead they're too busy adding new features which may or may not work. Neat. Instead of fixing things that they say already work, which don't, they spend time on new features. LOL.

    I shouldn't have to reboot my machine every time I want to play online and interact with other players with my headset so don't offer this as a "solution" to the problem because it isn't one.

    It's disgusting to see the engineers at Microsoft sit on their hands and do nothing about this egregious problem while the players who spent their hard earned money buying this console get ripped off.

    I'm the unluckiest guy in the universe when it comes to Bethesda games

    This is one reason why I play Elder Scrolls games on the PC.

    Even if you don't use any other mods the Unofficial Patches fix a lot of issues that Bethesda haven't/won't. And if the game still breaks you can often fix it with the console.

    No it's not verizon the issue is with Microsoft as the chat I had posted with the Microsoft rep stated. Just like another chat had a few weeks back with a Microsoft rep said they are looking over the the terns and conditions that verizon sent over. Further more verizon won't do anything other then see if the person's account is eligible and then say they don't know why.

    Two/three weeks ago i received my xbox one x back

    The problem is fixed but.... Microsoft won't tell me what the fixed/repaired.

    So for people that have the same issue? Send your xbox to microsoft and the will fix it for u but the won't tell you why.

    This was the outcome off all this.

    Please try that test.

    As mentioned, you can have the fastest Internet in the world but if the ports for the servers aren't open, you can connect. It's like driving to your destination at the speed of light and hitting a wall.

    The servers are operating normally right now and despite having a fast connection or the best internet, will not help if certain ports are blocking your network from accessing servers properly.

    Can you see if this happens when you connect to a different network such as a mobile hotspot or any other network source?
