why won't microsoft address the controller quality

let's see if we can get this controller thread locked too. Just got a new Xbox one elite controller and have tried everything. From hard reset to turning off Wi-Fi in the room, my phone, and all the other hopeful fixes posters on this forum and the Internet
have suggested. Nothing helps. Controller drops out every 30 seconds or so. Works fine with the USB cable but that's not what I paid $150 for, a controller that will not work without a wire.

You would think that buying an expensive controller means better quality, but you are wrong. I bought a elite controller and recieved it on launch day, and nothing on it worked correctly, the bumpers were shot, the dpad was unresponsive and the triggers
rubbed against something, and microsoft won't acknowledge the horrible build quality of not only the elite, but also the stock controllers too.

I have checked a lot of recently replies, and most says don't buy it and have doubt on the product quality.

Is there any other controller that is better?

The Nividia shield controller has the same type of issues. (Drifting)

I do hope Microsoft address the hardware issues on the controller with a hardware revision release.

Day by Day it is looking doubtful, as it have been approximately 9 months since Microsoft response to the issue, with no consumer updates since. It is poor practice by Microsoft not addressing the problem.

If Microsoft did the right thing, such investigation and hardware correction could occur in weeks worst case a few moths.

It is unfortunate that Microsoft does not acknowledge that there is a large number of controllers, if not most of them which are experiencing issues. The claim of "rigorous quality assurance testing" undertaken by Microsoft is a poor statement.

If Microsoft do not resolve the problem by their anniversary date of acknowledging the issue - 14 November 2020, I too will be looking for an alternate superior controller.

The PS5 controller which is planning on being released does look promising...

The overall performance of the Elite is better than the normal controller while it lasts. The problem is, it won't last long. The quality of the parts and the quality of the manufacturing is worse. I would say the headphone jack is exactly the same.

Do you know why they won't take your address? Have you had this probem anywhere else?

Havent had this issue on any other microsoft platform and its been doing this since january. Never could get any insight as to why it doesnt recognize the address.
