    Why won't Disney+ stream in 4K on my Xbox One X?


    After getting a Disney+ subscription, I have noticed that I'm unable to stream content in UHD on my Xbox One X console. It's connected to a 4K monitor with an HDMI 2.0 cable and I have had no issues streaming UHD content on Netflix or Amazon Prine with the
    same set up.

    I've also tried power cycling the console and reinstalling the app with no luck either.

    Have you tired going to settings then app settings in Disney+ and putting on automatic.

    Do remember that not every content on Disney+ is playable in 4k

    Yes, it is set to Automatic. The highest I am getting is HD. There is no 5.1 sound either.

    I'm able to get 4k content on another device, so I've been able to check what content is available.

    This has been confusing me for days now.

    I have sometimes noticed that at different times of the day, different resolutions are available. Sometimes a movie will show as available in 1080p 5.1 audio but when I check it a different time the same movie will show as 4k UHD with Atmos audio. I think
    that they make adjustments based on the current internet speeds and/or traffic at the time.

    Yeah I've been there and have everything I need. Like I said, Netflix and Prime both work fine.
