    Why will you not just sell me a new power supply for my 360?


    My power supply went out 1 month outside of warranty. I replaced it with a knock off that went out, replaced that with a knock off that went out. The only reason I buy these knock offs is because I can't get one from Microsoft. When I try it tells me to
    register my device, every time I try it tells me my device is ineligible. All I want is a real microsoft power supply to my xbox 360.

    I purchased a generic one for my 360 Arcade version off of Amazon and it has worked well. If you want an officially licensed power supply from Microsoft I believe GameStop sells them used.

    You should still be able to order an official power supply, but if the website isn't letting you do it, you'll need to call the Xbox support team.

    As long as your locale is set to the correct country here on Xbox.com
    this link     should direct you to the number to call Xbox LIVE in your region. If it doesn't please let us know and we can provide you with the correct number to call.

    Knock off power supplies can be extremely dangerous. Microsoft does not authorise manufacturers to produce PSU's for the Xbox 360, generic or otherwise. These power supplies are not safety tested, they can pose a fire risk, cause severe injuries or even death.
    For your own safety, you should always use an official Microsoft power supply with your console.

    Power light turns solid red

    Is the red light on the power supply or the XBox 360 S console? If the red light is on the power supply it is a good assumption something might be wrong with the power supply. If replacing the power supply does not work I am sure you could sell the new
    power supply to get your money back. It is certainly a cheaper option than buying a new 360.

    Hi,

    Power Cell? Do you mean the power brick, as in the external power supply? There is no 'power cell' in the Xbox 360 consoles.

    Microsoft no longer make or support Xbox 360 console power supplies. If you believe your power supply is failing you'll need to replace it. Unfortunately Microsoft no longer sells these, but there are plenty of places you can source a replacement.

    I doubt you'll find a 'new Xbox 360E'.

    Alright, that's good to know. Why don't you take a look at our power supply guide (support.xbox.com/.../check-power-supply) and see if any of that helps. Is this
    noise very loud, or just new? If it isn't affecting anything just yet, I would say you're fine, but if you want to you can send in for a replacement (support.xbox.com/.../repair-process).
