    Why will my parents email be deleted if I switch xbox emails?


    About 10 years ago when I first made my xbox profile, I was too young to have a personal email address. The account was made with my parents email which is an @msn domain. I am now 25 and my mother is sick of getting emails and log in codes and so on, so
    I wanted to change my XBL profile to my personal @gmail account. I went to switch it and my parents @msn email would be DELETED. Can someone please make this make sense to me cause I think this is the dumbest thing ever.

    No It shouldn't be deleted because i turned a Gmail to a outlook account and the gmail didn't get deleted

    HI there,

    All you can do is add your email as an alias to the account and make that the primary way to log into the account. Keep the original email as a secondary option for logging into the account.

    The reason it will be completely removed if you remove it from your account, is because Microsoft does not recycle email accounts.

    It wont delete unless you go to your acatual email online and click on the delete this account option.

    I tried doing it on xbox.com first, works the same way, I log in, accept the new terms of use and then I have to log in with my deleted parental email
