Why we can't deactivate Game DVR automatic clips?

I simply cannot understand how, after all this time with this system, we can't yet turn off automatic clips without totaly disabling recording system. I record
many clips, but playing Forza Horizon 2 or Hardline beta, for example, means tons of automatic clips, not just drying my internet connection or the weak HDD capacity, it also makes to not upload all clips, including volunary records.



Please... Let us disable automatic clips!

WHY CANT I UNINSTALL THE XBOX APP ON WINDOWS 10!

Why can't I uninstall the Xbox app on Windows 10 it's breaking my experience on good games, I can't deactivate DVR because it says "An Error has occurred please try again later" for one month now. What even is DVR? A screen recorder for console peasants?

NOT ONLY IS THE XBOX APP A **** SERVICE COMPARED TO STEAM, IT ALSO CANT BE UNINSTALLED AND BREAKS OTHER GAMES!

Why would you wish to deactivate a game? If you sell or gift it it will automatically deactivate. If you uninstall it then it will just sit in the cloud in case you ever fancy downloading it to play again.

 

BTW clips are not stored locally, they are cloud stored not on your HDD so that part is null and should not be worried about. Now your bandwidth... Nothing anyone can do about that but you

 

and to answer your question... to have the XB record that feature working.. the XB has a continuous 5 minute loop always being "saved" in a temp cache.. that way you can use the record that feature... gameclips being recorded automatically... those are
game specific and are triggered by the game itself so that is up to the devs to determine how much and when. Each game will have to be different

 

I can't stand the Fifa and Battlefield ones at every bloody level up. Usually I'm just dropping an anno pack. Insane clip!!!

 

yeah some of them are just flat out silly... peggle used to give you one for every shot over 25K until they nerfed it

 

I never had a problem with it until I played GTA 5 and most recently Sunset Overdrive... GTA 5 records one during major parts of the story mode and every time I scope headshot someone. Sunset Overdrive on the other hand records a clip after every single
challenge, story mission, boss fight, etc. I've never even used the "record that" feature so I might just disable it, but then I fear I'll miss something really cool to record haha.

 

Yea, the GTA ones are waaaaaaay to often.

 

The battlefield hardline beta is bad for it, I wouldn't ind if I had an epic moment but why it keeps recording (and more to the point publishing) me dieing I have no idea lol

 

Because some developers think that they know what we want more than we do. EA especially. I hope this is addressed in the near future.

The only game I enjoy auto record is in Forza Horizon 2. It has recorded more cool clips then bad.

 

I learned how to turn the feature off January last year. I don't want games or the Dashboard randomly automatically recording my stuff and posting it on the web. I still have 2 or 3 videos when I was playing Zoo Tycoon. But I want to keep those on my profile.
If I want to record and share videos, I do what thousands of peps do, go buy a PVR, I have a Hauppauge HD PVR2, and share it on Youtube. I do have a Sony CX190 camcorder and Samsung S5 which I can use for videos too. I have 146 videos on my Youtube channel
and share mostly Xbox commentary and videos with friends in it, and some personal videos. I use my PVR for Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. I find that most of the Xbox video clips have NO commentary or chatting going on between the person recording and any friends/players
in the game on Xbox Live. It's just like mono-lythic with just gameplay sound.

 

Automatic clips can be a SuRpRiSe which can be fun. Thank goodness Microsoft has a Privacy Policy regarding the Kinect and using Xbox. 'The Kinect will not share stuff outside of your console without your explicit consent'. To me, that would intel the Xbox
1 Dashboard to always bringing up a Dashboard message 'do you want to share this with the rest of the world'. kk I'm being colloquial
