Why was my thread deleted?

I posted a question earlier today and it seems a Moderator has deleted it. They did not lock it, or respond to me about me breaking any terms of service which I didn't. They just deleted the thread. i would like a Moderator to contact me to explain why.
I am a big supporter of this console and to have my question deleted without any explanation is pretty sad customer service.

I wasn't talking to you, it was aimed at snake. Also, I didn't get an email for the reason.

Disregard. I did get an email. I guess MS does not want any talk about anything negative. Well, then you guys should delete the rest of your forums. WOW. and to think I have supported this console with a podcast for so many years. Thanks guys for not
allowing an adult conversation. I will be sure to share this Gestapo reaction on our next show.

Forum rules are outlined here, we actually have a few good moderators on here at the moment,your thread clearly broke at least one of the rules if it was removed.

 

Only thing that they could possibly claim would be the following.

Please use your better judgment when posting things. Do not reference controversial topics or world events. If you have to start your post with “I’m not trying to offend anyone but” take a second look at the post before deciding if it’s needed to get your
point across.

But the "controversial topic" if you want to call it that was related to the Xbox One hardware. I can't say what as doing so would break another rule.

What I don't understand is that an Ambassador actually replied back to me with some answers. Then hours later the thread is deleted. Not locked, but deleted. I see other topics locked on a similar topic, but not outright removed.

Just a bit annoyed as I was not slamming MS or the Xbox in any way. I support them a lot with my money and time hosting a podcast for the last 8 plus years. So this stings a bit when you can't ask a question that concerns an Xbox fan.

 

I can't speak for your thread but I doubt it was just down to discussing the hardware as a result for its deletion. There are many threads that discuss the positives and benefits of the design Microsoft have chosen.

What could have done it was bringing in the PS4. Comparison threads aren't allowed and while they'll allow a little leeway, just praising the Sony machine isn't going to be allowed.

Perhaps you could rephrase your question to be more suitable. After all if you've done a podcast for eight years then you are good with words.

 

I in no way praised the PS4. No worries. It is what it is.

 

That was simply an example, as I said I never saw your deleted thread.

Unfortunately many people on the forum are unable to 'restrain their brand loyalty' and as such even the slightest negative thought can be considered to be a horrible insult.

Silly I know but Microsoft have always taken the heavy handed approach for their forum.
