Why was my son banned from communicating over xbox live?

My son informed me tonight that he has been banned from sending messages and such on xbox live. I viewed the messages that he and his friend were exchanging with another player. I saw a couple of curse words. I handled that myself and it wont be happening
again, also! I saw no evidence of harassment, at all. I also saw where the one doing the reporting said "Your being reported by me and my whole clan, good luck and have a nice day" The accuser's whole clan wasn't part of the conversation. Nor were they witness
to the conversation. Seems to me one report would have been enough, but! He had to get his whole clan to report harassment on my son. What the accuser said was a threat towards my son. The others in the accuser's clan lied with the specific purpose to get
my son banned and in some way that is harassment in itself and it goes against your "Terms of agreement" on the accusing side and his/her clan members part. Seems to me the accusing party was being very unfriendly, agging this whole thing on. My son should
be unbanned or everyone involved should be banned from communicating on xbox live. I have copies, screenshots, phone pics of the messages as proof if needed. I have all gamer tags involved in the conversation if needed. FYI: This is not the account. I will
give the proper account gamertag to the proper authorities.
