Why was Madden 15 Digital download only on sale for a couple hours yesterday?

I bought my XB1 AC bundle today and was psyched to download a digital of Madden 15 for $30 (Source: Video Game Deals, Coupons and Promo Codes)
to hold me over until Halo comes out(I don't like AC) and when I came home, it went back to retail...seriously?! I can get a physical copy new for $40 and a used for $30 but I don't wanna wait for the shipping to get here, which I'll have to now since you
guys lost my business.

Now I just have a new XB1 with nothing to play.

XB1 Full Game Digital Downloads

I agree the digital downloads should be cheaper. It seems as though the opposite is taking place. All of the discounts seem to be on the physical disks. I have wondered if there have been sales problems with physical disks as more of us opt for the convenience of digital downloads. Why not offer discounts on the digital downloads to encourage people to give up on the disks and we can move away from disks completely? If it was $10-$15 cheaper for the downloads no one would care if you could resell the disk or not?

 

Destiny: Digital Guardian Edition for the Xbox One?

I don't understand why I can buy Madden 15 now and it will download, then be playable on Tuesday, but I can't buy and download Destiny to get pre-order bonuses. I'm not interested in buying discs anymore I want all digital games but I also want pre-order
bonuses. this is a clusterf**k.

 

I've not heard of any deals going on for Madden 15. However, if you would like to check out some free games then I would recommend looking at Games With Gold on your dashboard. You can download Volgarr and Chariots for free.

Also, if you purchase a membership to EA Access ($5 per month $30 per year) then you can take advantage of their games vault that include free downloads of several games such as Battlefield 4, Plants vs Zombies and many more.
