Why the xbox one does not read photos well since windows 10?

Hello,

I'm a xbox user since day one and here is my problem:

before november 2015 and the windows 10 update, I used to read a lot of photos on the media player app of my xbox one, (comics, hollidays pictures etc...), I found it usefull and easy to use, but since the windows 10 update, the media player can still read
photos, but they appears cut down, and so the app became useless... at first, I was thinking that it was minors issues which where fixed quickly, but it's been 6 months past and the second update of the media player and still nothing!

I feel disapointed about that, I bought my xbox one while thinking it was a multimedia plateform (that's what the "ONE" is supposed to mean... ) and microsoft does not care of the basics multimedia functions!

I tried to report the problem on chat and on tweeter, but no reply. everybody don't care that the zoom down function on photos, which is here since windows 95 is not functional in 2016 on xbox one!

I don't think that my little voice will echo on a giant compagny like microsoft, but I just want to tell that this little tiny detail *** me off so much that I decided to never buy online games on xbox one and not renew my xbox live gold till it's not fixed.
(I've got a ps4) I buy about 30 games per years so it represent a decent money for 1 customer alone. anyway, please someone in the xbox support let me know, this report has been read. thanks.

360 kicks One's butt in terms of PC connectivity

Viral - That is incorrect. Since day ONE, the Xbox 360 had the ability to connect with Windows Media Center, as well as the ability to stream photos or music from your PC (and music 'in the background').

If the 360 couldn't do that stuff from day ONE, then why does my launch day 360 - with the special launch day remote control, have a Windows Media Center button ON THE REMOTE!?

Xbox app does not open in continnum for phones

why can't the Xbox s app work in continuum mode for windows phone? The app is grayed out and does not go into an desktop version of the app. Why does the Xbox app not work but Instagram, edge, photos, Groove music, and other apps work?

Hi Nagwal98,

Thank you for the update. I believe the issue lies with using the Xbox One play and charge kit since I think it may only work properly with an Xbox One controller, not an Xbox 360 controller. This may be why the drivers did not install when you plugged it
in. This is just speculation that the cable is not compatible with an Xbox 360 controller, but I recommend going to the store and getting another micro USB cable and try again.

Even if the Xbox Accessories App for Windows 10 was available in your region, the app is not meant to configure an Xbox 360 controller since it's designed to manage devices for the Xbox One console. Windows 10 does have a controller calibration program to
manage your Xbox 360 controller when connected. There are a number of steps so I recommend reading over this article on

I understand. The Photos app doesn't have the same interface as the classic Photo Viewer, including the zoom slider. You can still zoom in and out using the mouse wheel or touchpad gestures, and adjust the zoom behavior in the app's settings.

Please try the steps below.

1 Open the Photos app.

Locate and open the app in the Start menu.

2 Access Settings.

Click the three dots or More in the top right corner and select Settings.

3 Adjust the zoom behavior.

In the settings, find the "Mouse Wheel" or similar section and choose how it affects zooming e.g. zoom in/out, scroll to next/previous image.

4 Zoom using the touchpad.

If you have a touchpad, you can usually use pinch gestures to zoom to adjust the view.
