    Why the hell would repairing your own console considered violating sub rules?


    There has been a post about disc drive not working after warranty expired and my comment was to repair it by yourself, and it got removed.

    In what universe is a repair that restores proper functionality of the console, not involving any modifications to be considered violation of sub rules? Is that warranty sticker so untouchable that peeling it off is considered a federal crime?

    No, it isn't in this case. While Microsoft doesn't mention the License Transfer feature in their Usage Rules agreement, they're using it on consoles they own and within their own household. No rules are being violated here.

    Your brother would need to re-download the game(s) in question by going into his Download History, and then you will be able to access the games on your console.

    You have to use Diablo's own trade channel

    Lfg is just looking for group that's it

    You violate channel rules on any server you will be punished

    If the account that bought it is not your own account, then no. That would violate the rules and put you both at risk for being banned.

    No as doing a repair on your own is a violation of the Xbox terms of service. You would need to set up a repair through Xbox.

    No and attempting to do so would be considered system tampering and can result in your console getting permanently banned from Xbox Live.

    Discussion of self-repair is against forum rules so no one here would be able to help with that.
