Why the Hell am I paying for this service....

I don't ask for much when I turn on the 450.00 paper weight on it should work.. Especially if I'm paying a monthly fee for live. But I don't want to hear about some hackers DDos attacks that's why they get paid every month THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

Got an Xbox on December 24th 2014. Been staring at my screen asking my Kinect why microsoft is being such a failure on this. I hope its playable soon this is beyond stupid. Vacation now over no time used on the only gift I got lol thanks for the Xmas gift...guess

You can play games offline in the settings if a game doesn't work offline then blame the publishers for insisting on online DRM check for single player portion of the game like Far Cry 4, this has nothing to do with microsoft.

support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status because if you get connected to live then u will stay on even tho the sign in servers go offline. They are targeting the sign in authentication servers. Make sure you Xbox doesn't go into standby as it will log U off
and lose connection. Iv been connected all day.

Psn has been down for 3 days with zero times that iv been able to play, so count yourself lucky that you dont own a ps4 because I'm not expecting it to go back up till past New Years while Xbox on should be stable by tomorrow.

 

This has everything to do with Microsoft. Their service is *** up, not the companies that created the games. Gamestop opens in 13 hours. Looks like I'll be going to trade this crap for a PS4.

 

Free bird u fool.... PSN is doing worse with the DDOS attack, are you all really this brain dead? PSN HASNT WORKED IN 3 DAYS. Christmass eve I watched the interview on xbl wile psn was down. Today xbl was up for many hours while psn is DOWN..... UNLESS
your going to buy a wii u which also got hit with DDOS but not as bad then just keep quite. Or please go buy a ps4, you can't even log on the ps4 forums to complain about psn being down, Microsoft handled the DDOS attack much better.

I have 2 Xbox ones 1 ps4 and 1 wii u, the only thing that hs been reliable somewhat has been my Xbox ones and wii u, so all of u saying going to buy a ps4 shut your trap.

 

Microsoft always responds with " fix it in 30 minutes, or check back in 30 minutes". Microsoft hasn't fixed anything in 3 days. Here's my take on this. Why don't all of us that pay for a live membership start a class action lawsuit for services that we
pay a monthly fee for and can't even sign in to our system.

Why not also refund gold members with 1-3 months free since you can't fix it... Better yet, what happens when these so called hackers find an exploit from all the spamming to get information; say like credit card information or other vital info like happened
to Target stores.

This is a different kind of exploit than the target situation. These guys are using botnets to send a ton of traffic to Microsoft and Sony servers. When the servers get too much traffic they start stopping all connections. I think the target exploit was
a malware type installed internally that extracted information from their POS system.

 

You can play some games in offline mode, if you navigate to the settings, however there are games that require your to be online because of "their" DRM check for the single player portion of the game like the recent Far Cry, and Assassins Creed Unity (I
think) as such this has "nothing" to do with Microsoft and they cannot help you in that regard.

The only thing I can tell you to do is to keep on checking the Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage
