    I have a brand new never been used xbox one that will not do it's very first straight out of the box start up update, I have tried offline up dates through the usb drive that didn't work, I don't know what to do and now I have a console that is useless

    need help with update.

    I just got my new xbox one s out of the box and was wondering why its got an update if its brand new and how long does it take? Made several attempts but update wont finish. Is there something that I need to know to do so it will finish?

    problems with set up update

    I don't think the other people who replied understand what you are asking because I'm having the same problem. My brand new Xbox One S is going to sleep/turning off DURING the straight out the box initial set up update. Not AFTER it's fully downloaded the
    update and it auto restarts. And when I turn the Xbox one back on, the initial set up update starts over. You can't get to the settings yet to set it to download even when the console is off/sleep because it can't get past the initial set up update. Nobody
    has time to sit in front of the TV for hours, wiggling the controller sticks every 5 mins to keep the controller/Console from going to sleep partially through the Initial setup update and having to start over. It's been 3 days and I haven't been able to play
    one single game yet on my new Xbox One S. Is there any way to prevent this?

    Dead Rising 3 video issues

    I had the same issues straight out of the box with dead rising 3, every time I picked the torch up and used it. It's very frustrating as you say you can't see anything on screen, I thought it was my telly at 720p so I brought a brand new one at 1080p but
    this black circle still appears when using the torch, hopefully there will be a title update addressing the issue? This makes me want to return my xbox one incase it is faulty? FIFA 14 works fine haven't had a issue with it, also dead rising tv rough me back
    to the dashboard when starting chapter 3?!?! Not good for a brand new console!

    Just bought an xbox one took it out of the box set it up put in ryse an get this *** error seriouslyz brand new game brand new xbox this shouldn't happen.

    Does this xbox live issue have anything to do with why I can't download the initial setup updates? I just purchased a brand new xbox one for Christmas and now the thing will not download the updates. The internet connection is good and I have restarted
    several times. I am a new xbox user and this issue is starting to make me question my choice to go with the xbox over the PS4.
