why so many online games and no single player games

we gamers spend hundreds of pounds or dollars a year on buying games but there is an increase with gamers annoyance at the current obbsession with multiplayer only games, everytime a game comes out it is multiplayer only and no single player in our so called
democracey we are forced multiplayer and they say its better for us.....why are they thinking for us and whats the reason many think if you are online your information is been sold to advertisers do E A agree with this the public are not stupid and there will
be online petitions to stop this soon, all games should be single player and multiplayer to be fair.

Single-player has never meant that you play offline, which appears to be the mistake many people make. Single-player simply means what it implies - that you play by yourself. It has nothing to do with whether you're online or offline. Same goes with multiplayer;
just because you're playing with multiple people doesn't necessarily mean you're playing online. Split-screen is a good example of offline multiplayer in this case. Many people complain about how single-player games should not be online. To them, I ask why
not?

The Xbox One is going to revolutionize single-player by breaking the old beliefs of many by having online single-player games that will help enhance the experience in many ways. Although the cloud may or may not live up the hype, the potential of having an
online component that changes the single-player experience for the better is certainly there.

PGR games are pretty good indeed, shame not many went online but the single player was great.

 

No I disagree. We're all entitled to an opinion but personally I think theres still plenty of Single player games. There are a number of multiplayer only games but Im 100% for that, I like to play with people. So how come you should be more important than
me? or me more than you? We shouldn't. We should be happy with what we've got, which is a great system for Single and Multi player games

 

sea of theives, starwars battlefront, morrowind,elder scrolls online, and many other games have no single player all games should have multiplayer and single player as you say,but gamers are very disappointed when new great games come out with no single
player,E A ARTS are worst for this and UBISOFT are following same trend.
