Why should I have to pay for a name change again after Xbox force changed it.

I recently had my gamer tag changed because it was reported by a bunch of cry babies that got mad at me for beating them, but that's besides the point, why should I have to pay for an Xbox name change again if Xbox force changes it. Seems like a rip off
to me, if Xbox changes my name I should be allowed to change it to something else rather than having to pay, also my name didn't even contain anything offensive, nothing racist and whatnot.

P.S. The name was [Mod Removed], come on how is that offensive and not hilarious, I have gotten countless messages saying they loved the name.

Xbox Live Gamertag Changed

Hello,

My Xbox Live gamertag was recently force changed to a new name that I did not get to choose. In order to change my name again, I'm required to pay $9.99. Considering that my name was changed against my will and without warning, the 9.99 fee feels quite unfair.
I'm hoping for any Xbox Live support to review my case and allow me to change my name again now that it has been reset.

Downloaded Profile and it changed my name

I was given the "Sorry you can't log into Xbox Live with this profile on this console. Please download your profile again" and when i re-downloaded my profile it changed me name????

And now i have to pay 10$ to change it back to what it was??

Why was it changed in the first place? I shouldn't have to pay for something that was changed without my notice.

Please someone tell me why it happened.

I was originally named F1oundrPounder, it isn't a bad name no should it get banned, i have seen worse.

It doesn't necessarily have to be offensive, it just has to violate the code of conduct, which it does. The name change policy is per the code of conduct you agreed to.

In addition to what Smwutches has called out, you can submit a Case Review for your forced name change over on the
Enforcement site. Free gamertag changes used to be a thing after forced name changes, however it was found that people abused the system doing that. You will need to pay for a new name that does
not violate the below rules to avoid future changed names. Thanks for understanding!

The used to allow you to change your gamertag for free when it was deemed offensive but too many people took advantage if that and changed their gamertag to something just as equally offensive. Due to this they now force change your name to a randomly generated
gamertag and then make you pay to change it again after that.

Unfortunately that was a case of the few ruining it for the many.

Xbox is no longer doing Forced Name Changes if you add your first and or last name to a Gamer Tag.

You will have pay to have it changed again.
