Why should I buy an XB1 ?

Yes the X1 requires more hard boots in one week than my PS4 has had in a year. PS4 is just a lot more stable than the X1. I think it's because of all the snapping and multiple opened apps that you can have. I cringe whenever the X1 stutters for even a second
because I'm always afraid it froze again.

 

@ Hairy Game UK, Tradenation, HMV but did see Game now had used games in stock regarding the One. You must be buying used and forgot to mention lol. Anything to sing and dance about next gen hey. PS3 and 360 where it is at just look at games with gold
programme. Without Doubt 360 owners get the Better deal. X Box One gets a old 16 bit type of game.

Very nostalic if you want a trip back to megedrive gaming. Even the Gamecube had Better looking games in it's day.

Enough to suit you WILD - If you want to compare the companies that sell these items, at those prices, that's one thing. When you go to somewhere like Amazon, you know your going to get your game at a decent price.

I have been playing games, since first Gen Wild, Probably longer than you have. If you don't like the price, you don't have to pay them

And yes there are some out there, like Game, HMV, even Asda, that you will find a £10 to £12 difference. But they have overheads. A Store to Run, Bills to pay, Rent. Why would you pay over the odds for a game, that you can have within 1-2 days, at nearly
the same cost as last Gen.

If you don't want to shop around and pay a sensible price for your games, then good luck to you Wild. But go around telling people, there is this big discrepancy, when if you can actually be bothered to look, You will find them at virtually the same price.

Yes, it is still a retailer, (A retailer is a company/business that sells merchandise) of Games. So their Prices are as valid as everyone elses

2. You have to wait for your games to arrive in the post. - Yes, You have to wait on Postage, But every game i have pre-ordered on Amazon, And i mean every game has arrived either on the day or on a rare occurence, the day before.

4. You also have to pay postage on that price too. No, you do not. You have three choices, Super Saver, (Free) normally 2-3 days, which is actually on day of release for pre-orders because they send all pre-orders out 1st class.
next delivery option is 1st class, which you have to pay about £2 on, or Amazon Prime, Which as a member entitles you too over 15,000 video titles to stream, over 500,000 books to read, and free one day delivery on anything you buy on Amazon (Anything).

@ what do you class as 1st gen ? - 1st Gen (Which i still have, with a melted side from my Mum's old fireplace - Lost the paddles though , which only played Pong, on different ways. 2nd, Gen Atari 2600 3rd Gen - Master System
and Nes, 4th Gen, Megadrive (Genesis), Snes and a Famicon, Neo-Geo, 5th Gen, Jaguar (I know, silly me - But the graphics were awesome), PS, 3DO, N64, Amiga32, 6th Gen - Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, 7th Gen - Xbox 360, PS3, Wii (had it, didn't enjoy it, Sold it, probably
because of my age, Now-Gen, X1 and PS4................ and i haven't included, PC, The Amiga 500, Amiga 1200, Atari ST, C64, C16, Spectrum 48k, Spectrum+, because they were not consoles, but computers, and you could do more than game on them, like programming,
DTP, Word processing)

I am by no means a supporter of any companies console, just ask Rippen, Lost, GG, Burst, Messiah, Etc, and they will tell the conversations we have had, i tell it as i see it, with backed-up knowledge of retail, (which i spent
over 13 years in) nearly 40 years of playing games on many different consoles, and coming from a generation when games playing was considered geekish, and not many people done it. Games in context of inflation and availability have not risen as much as you
would like to think because of a few main reasons.

one being that more than ever, more people buy games, Games were expensive years ago, because they had fewer people buying them, Fewer people buying them, means less revenue, No Online competition, You either got it from your
local shop, or nowhere (And i mean, my local market had 3 games shops before onilne retail). Also, as games/consoles are so mainstream now. very few people are going to pay the price that it would be now, if inflation in games were kept in line with what they
were years ago, so like for like, They are pretty much cheaper that what they used to be, if you can bothered to go look for them.
