Go to Network settings and go to Detailed Network Statistics and run that test. You really want to have a min of 5mbps download and 2mbps upload. Anything greater than that is always desirable and anything lower than that is going to be pure problems for
online gaming.

Calculations are based on last gen and current gen prices. I don't to look at a site to work out that games have shot up 37 percent in price since last gen. The cost on producing games on last gen was expensive too nothing changed regards creating games
in the last year. A lot would been on old budgets as games are usually planned 2 years before launch. Most likely the games are not that bigger from last gen.

If this is the cost of gaming today then I'm out but yet the Wii U is comparable to the 360 and PS3. Can't help but think it's greed. Steam boxes look like the future now and regarding disposable incomes and all then I'm against that on principle alone.
Gaming should be accessible to the masses not just to the select few.

should actually explain your figure. I'm sorry but hobbies cost money, gaming is a hobby and as i stated its still a cheaper from of entertainment then most stuff. i mean i pay like 180 for direcTV and use it maybe less then 100 hours a month, going to the
movies for a family of 4 for 2 hours? about 100 bucks if not more, round of golf for 2 people 100+ dollars for 4-5 hours. 1 video game 60 bucks for hundreds of hours. Its not a terribly expensive hobby compared to other hobbies. steam boxes are a dumb idea,
i'm sorry. Its literally just a gaming PC but expensive for what you could build yourself. do you think PC gamers would buy one? if a console gamer wanted out, they'd buy a gaming PC. Steambox has no market.

Also games back in the Nintendo days were 40-50 bucks for a game. games are 60 bucks now. a 20-33% increase in price over 20 years is nothing. especially when budgets have went from a few thousand dollars to 50+ million.

 

Here we go back on to Steam Box again.

Steam not dumb because if it forces game prices down that can only be better for gamers. Not too mention a better experience. At the moment you paying a 37 percent increase to play games in lower resolutions on a console that are struggling to keep up
with the PS4 never mind PCs or Steam.

 

Blame the UK tax.

Only thiNg Struggling is 3rd party Developers and last gen gaming engines.

again i have no idea what country you are in to compare it to, i asked you didn't answer. don't use exchange rate either as its last gen price vs this gen price so exchange rate means nothing. is that what you are complaining about? the exchange rate? that
has nothing to do with gaming. also if you are UK don't you get healthcare, free college, and minimum wage twice what it is in the US? that more then makes up for an exchange rate lol. maybe if you spent less time on a forum saying woe is me, and more time
working it wouldn't be an issue.

Nothing to do with tax what so ever but it has everything to do with developers charging a heft price to play next gen or greed of shops. Nothing to do with tax what so ever!

What is dumb in current gen gaming is people hiking prices up just in order to play next gen. That's very stupid as there's hardly anything to surjest this is truly next gen at the moment.

Steam boxes will be more powerful and cheaper games so it's hardly dumb. Something the PC elite have looked down at console owners in the past. They play better looking games and at cheaper rates too.

If you believe in something and have strong opinions about something it doesn't matter what people say online. Ripped off on cheap PC components inferior games that's keep going up in price.

well just because the UK is charging way more then they should, it isn't a next gen thing by any means. as i stated before games everywhere else are only 20% more which is 10USD.

and steambox isn't a console, its a gaming PC with steam already in it. and any PC gamer can build a much better gaming PC for less then what the steambox is. There is no market for the steambox. PC gamers won't want it and Console gamers won't want it.

 

So basically, you're telling people to stop having fun?

XBOne and PS4 off the shelf PC conponents same as Steam Boxes but with 1 difference. Steam boxes will be more powerful and games will be more cheaper.
