Why play to sony trolls ms?

Sorry Bass drop, I reread your post and realise I shouldnt have been so harsh.

I just meant that gamers are gamers no matter what kind of games they play or what system they play on. It angers me when people say real gamers dont care about the kinect or that its kiddie bull$#!?. Like I said I play games all my life. I play for the
fun. Is the kinect fun by itself? Meh, depends on the game. But play with a room full of people who understand its current limitations it can be a real blast. My father in law is 74 yrs old. He saw my wife and I playing with my niece and nephew on kinect sports
and wanted to try. He had never played a game before due to arthritis in his hands. He loves playing now and if it brings families together in the living room I think its great. Now i love call of duty and forza and madden as much as the next guy. But i also
love watching my whole family having fun. The tech is there. It just needs some fine tuning is all. On a side note there are health benefits as well. I dropped 15 lbs over the last two years without changing my diet or joining a gym.

 

I just want people to remember that most of us WERE KIDS when we started playing.

Opinions are opinions, as long as you play games, your a gamer. And I know exactly what u mean by the family thing, I remember when I first bought the wii and everyone was playing wii sports

 

Come on Malnificent, that's not what he is saying. I have to agree that a lot of people complaining about the X1 are in fact Sony fanboys that will never purchase a X1.

There are also a lot of people that don't want Kinect, can't really see why, I really like mine after using it. Yes, my 360 Kinect spent most of it's life in the box, but not the X1 Kinect.

I think a smart person will purchase a Kinect bundle with games and keep the Kinect just in case. If you purchase a Kinect less version and then decide you want a Kinect later your going to pay a lot more. Talk about money wasted!

 

Bass, I tried telling people that I didn't have the room and only used headphones so therefore need to be noise free while gaming. Got nothing but negative feedback from xb fans. Apparently I hated it, idk, I still have the kinect and don't use it, don't
care. I must also be a troll, who would have thunk

 

Microsoft had every chance in the world to save the Kinect.They failed year year to show us why we need one.If they really wanted to put a Kinect in every living room they should have gone all in on Kinect Sports Rivals to make it THE must have game for
next gen.Instead they put out a half backed game that really doesnt do anything to push the boundaries of next gen nor will convince anyone the Kinect is essential to gaming.Had they spent 200 million like Rockstar did with GTA 5 the Kinect may have had
a brighter.Hopefully they dont try to sell us the Kinect 3.0 at this years E3.

Console wars are for dummies who apparently need a soap box to stand on. Play games......not consoles. I laugh at all the great games MS fanboys missed out on by choosing to be allergic to the PS3......and vice versa. Meanwhile you're claiming allegiance

Guy aboved me. Some people perfer one console over the other. And some do not have the cash to get both. So they have to choese one brand per gen. Only the rich and loaded can buy them all. Normal person only can get one console per gen.

 

I just told my X1 to volume down while watching Alaska State Troopers.... I also tried the same command with my Xbox 360 on....... I think the Kinect is a must for the next gen.... it's neat... catering to the needs of the people who claim they cant
afford $500 but can afford $400.... meh

 

Whether it is "convenient" is irrelevant to some which is fair enough. Some people prefer playing games the old fashioned way with a controller and like to use a media remote for media. That is more in a way convenient to them as they are used to it and
think it is a more reliable solution than using a kinect.

What exactly did I misinterpret here?

The argument is a sweeping generalization that those who did not want the Kinect are "Sony trolls" who will never buy it, are not Xbox fans, and in addition you can't understand why some may not want it. I have seen the argument against mandatory Kinect
purchase made by people with 30k+ Gamerscore, Gold subs, 3+ forum level.... do Sony trolls invest that much in playing Xbox? What specific accessories you want may not be what others want, and gaming should be about choice, not forcing extra purchases of
non-mandatory features. There is no data to back these "sony trolls" statements up as the system isn't even being sold yet. When sales figures can show if the Kinect-less X1 is selling or not, then you can make a claim that people demanded this option with
some widespread lack of intention to ever purchase it.

Name-calling/labeling just because someone disagrees with you is bad form.

I don't have the room to make use of Kinect games or features, so the device would be reduced to a voice remote control. While the Kinect voice commands for the 360 were fun for a while, it was just as easy to use my media remote to do the same task.

Unfortunately Kinect 2.0 still falls into this category. I don't have the space to use it and so it'd be used only for voice commands.

If that is all I wanted then I would be using the voice recognition software on my PC.

There's a difference between being unable to afford something, and wanting to save the extra money you can avoid spending for something you don't want for something else you do.

I don't think you fully understand the range of things kinect voice commands can be used for. I live with a roommate, so I keep my Xbox One in my bedroom on a desk that I sit directly in front of. Kinect can't see the lower half of my body at all. And I'm
sitting too close for it to recognize me half the time. So I have to say "Xbox sign in as John". It knows my name. Last Sunday, it was 9:00pm and I was playing Titanfall and realized my show wasn't recording. So I said "Xbox watch HBO". How many steps would
that take if you were on your 360 at the time? You can snap anything at any time. Record gameplay clips on the fly. Other things I can't remember off the top of my head. I can't live without voice commands anymore.
