Why play to sony trolls ms?

If I could have purchased my One without the Kinect for a lower price, I would have as I have zero interest in the Kinect and everything to do with it.

Your an obvious Sony troll that's all, the last game you played was released almost 2 years ago FIFA 11. This has nothing to do with XBOX One and all to do with you being a Sony troll.

 

MS is listening to their wallets.They are erasing mistakes of the past with their decision.To continue on bundling Kinect with every console is foolish.What they need to do now if they want to sell Kinect is to find the one killer app that will make everyone
want one.Using it for navigating the dashboard is not a system seller .Its a gimmick at best.Phil knows what hes doing and has gamers interests at heart.He'll turn things around .

 

That is a warped logic you got there OP... Maybe I am a Sony fan boy and just didn't know it.. All this time playing my Xbox 360 without a Kinect must be a tell tale sign I am insane or something... /Sarcasm.

 

Actually by dumbing the console down perhaps MS seek to steal some of Sony's Customers?

 

I don't understand the OP's logic but I think the Kinect is just a personal choice now I dont really understand what the big deals is. If you want the Kinect buy it with it included. If you dislike it save some money and don't

Well here's some insight for you, how about people like me who don't have the space/area to use the kinetic? There is only about three feet of room between my tv and where I sit. I would have loved to of bought the x1 w/o kinect,. And yes I know the voice
commands, but that didn't go over so well with my original kinect, pegged it at the wall.......kept picking up voices and stopping my netflix. No time for that....

I have literally never even touched the kinect that came with my x1, and I still love my x1 the same, I don't feel like I've lost anything but an annoying turd, I mean kinect. As a person who has been gaming over 20 years, I can say with confidence that
most straight forward gamers could care less about the kinect.

You see 20 yrs ago, you bought a console to play games, and that's all. You put the game in and u play it, that's what a true to the straight forward gamer is. We don't care about being able to talk to our inanimate object/x1.(yes I said I tried kinect
but that's because my gf wanted it.....waste of money kinect) all people like myself want to do is play games, and I myself could care less about it having this CPU or that gpu. Idc. As long as I can put a game in and enjoy it....heck I could even do w/o netflix,
or hulu really.

Point is, if you think ur losing half the functionality of the console, your right, but maybe not to everyone. Beyond that though there are other reasons, whether it be u just strictly want a gaming console(myself) , or you just don't have the means to use
it or room(again myself) some people could just do w/o it.

Now how about I turn this around, not to be rude, but just for the fun of it.

Based on a few things I said above, I say that if u want a kinect so badly, maybe your not a true gamer, because you care more about the uppity up, extras, and beauty of of those extra prerifrioals , rather than focusing on the main purpose of a gaming
console.? (And no offense but I say that all the time, if you bought a console for netflix and other apps, please don't go around calling yourself a gamer.) there is a saying I always use, never forget the roots, where u started from. Microsoft started Xbox
as a gaming console, they had no apps on the original xbox. Then they revolutionized online gaming with Xbl, that's where their roots are. In my opinion I think they are drifting farther from their roots, farther from a true gaming community. Because basically
In my opinion if you spend more time talking to/through your kinect than you do playing games, than a gamer, you are not.

Bass drop, I could not disagree more. Ive been playing games for 30 plus years. Since atari 2600. In my book if you play games at all youre a gamer. Please dont lump other people into your rant. Igot X1 to play games and i do play games. Almost every day.
But why limit yourself? Is there something ungamerly to watch a movie on netflix with your kids? How about skyping with a friend while playing forza so you can see his face as you pass him on an inside corner. While i agree that the technology is not perfect
and its not for everyones taste in games. I personally have not had many of the issues that people complain about. Just takes a little time to calibrate properly. Also MS is always working on updates to make improvements. Lets not forget that the 360 started
with no apps and no browser. Console life spans have gotten longer because of system updates resulting in improved performance. If you dont like it dont use it. Sell it trade it throw it in a river I dont care. But dont insult others for enjoying kinect and
the fuctionality it offers. It just shows youre narrowmindedness. If no insult was intended than disregard that remark. Gamers losing their roots would be trading their consoles for streaming media players. Do you honestly think the X1 console will be the
same machine 10 yrs from now as it is today. Im glad MS is givig people the choice now. Hopefully there will be less biching in the future. Sorry for the rant and if I hurt anyones feelings it is not intended. Opinions are Opinions and everyones entitled.

To me the kinect is just a novelty,that wears of quick no doubt.

I remember getting the eyetoy on playstation 2,and i spent hours washing windows and boxing robots.

The next day i played it for about an hour,after that it stayed in the box never to be used again.

I understand it has more applications now other than games,but i simply have no interest in any of them.

If others enjoys kinect, go ahead fill your boots.

There is nothing wrong with using the apps on xbox. I use all my consoles to stream Netflix and Hulu, mostly because I don't have cable( now that's over priced, plus I spend 60hrs a week working, so streaming is sufficient for me) frankly I like Netflix
on the Xbox, keeps me from buying an overpriced smart tv, and that actually goes for all the apps, not just Netflix.

What I was getting at is, I know people who but a console for the main purpose of streaming media. I think the main functionality and purpose of a console is to play games.

And I miss my Atari, lost it when I moved, still have my nes though

All I was saying is, I could do with or without all the extra feature on the x1, i am a straight forward gamer. When the Xbox stops playing games , that's when I will have a problem, until then it does its main purpose with or without apps or the kinect.
That's all I'm saying.

 

OP: There are no Sony/MS Fanboys. Only Gamers who because of Competition between Two Rival console makers, for the moment at least, are getting their moneys worth.

I am just learning about what went on before, during, and after E3 2013. And if Sony hadn't came out of the gate saying. "Here is how you share games on the PS4."

MS would have set the stage by not allowing game share, or even used games.

So I for one am glad the "spirit of competition" between these two giants are going strong.

If it weren't, then your only choice for gaming would be the X1 or PC, and with one Console maker also KING of Operating Systems for the PC, your only choice for gaming would be. "My way, or the hi-way!"

 

They told us day one adopters that they wouldn't sell a kinectless version. This was important to me. I had doubts about the Kinect but believed in microsofts vision. Now a few months later they are scrapping it? I think we have a right to be upset.


To be honest, we will never know what they had in store for the Kinect. There could have been some awesome things down the pipeline....Oh well I guess the customer knows best. What's that grandma, you think that glowing box in the living room is just a
fad?

 

I buy a KINECTlessfor my dad place. If I want used the KINECT with my gaming. I take my home concole KINECT to his places. For starter. It useless to owned two KINECT's. And he is retiered. So the $500 one is out the question for him.
