Why Platform Exclusive Games Suck.

A somewhat lengthy video on why locking certain video games to one platform hurts the gaming community.

A list of Xbox one games that will be shown at E3.

- Call of duty ghost (Cross platform / content) Activision

-Batman origins (Cross platform / content)

-Quantum break (Exclusive)

- NBA live 14 (Cross Platform / content) EA

-Need for speed rivals (Cross platform / content) EA

-Watchdogs (Cross platform / PS4 exclusive content)

-UFC (Cross platform / Kinect?)

-Destiny (Cross Platform / PS3 Exclusive content)

-Battlefield 4 (Cross Platform / timed exclusive content) EA

-Forza motorsports 5 (Exclusive)

-Ryse (Exclusive / Kinnect)

- Thief (Cross platform)

-Madden NFL 25 (cross platform / Kinnect?) EA

-FiFA 14 (Cross platform / Exclusive content / offer ) EA

That's my guess, a few of those EA games could be timed exclusive for the XBOne and most of them will make limited use of the kinnect too.

 

What happened with the Xbox

Destiny is not a PS4 exclusive it is multi-platform. If the PS4 was so amazing as you say it would have more games by now being the fact that they are exclusives everywhere console. I heard Killzone is not as great as its predecessor Killzone 3. Also none
of the games you mentioned have come out yet which sucks for Sony consumers.

 

Got to agree. If no games were exclusive I wouldn't need to own a ps4.

Although i'm more annoyed when one platform gets exclusive ingame content. For instance hitman on xbox one has 6 missions missing. So xbox owners pay the same as ps4 owners but get a smaller game. Its basically forced me to buy the ps4 version even though
i prefer gaming on xbox.

 

I like exclusives. It makes the market more competitive.

 

I got worried when you talked about the Playstation 4 getting extra missions and XBox ONE users not getting as much content.

Thankfully this is only "The Sarjevo Six" which sounds like it could be interchanged with any of the dozens of "in city missions" or timed special events that they will be putting on.

 

I just want SFV....

PS exclusives suck.

 

Sadly this trend will get worse now that MS is opening up their cross platform play to PC and even (if sony allows it) PS4. Sony will now be forced into either 100% only on PS4 (no PC or x1 editions allowed) or also add exclusive content that means you
cant game with others anyway because they are content locked.

In some ways MS "opening up" could mean more locked down titles.

 

I disagree. I do not need to play an exclusive. Just like I can control my impulse not to upgrade to the latest phone.

 

Exclusives are something i understand the need for from a business point of view and in most cases its not something i normally have an issue with, i mean i'd love to play No Man's Sky and i'd trade gimmcky generic cover shooter Quantum Break for it any
day of the week.

My biggest issue with exclusives is for instance what happened with the recent Tomb Raider and Street Fighter, games that have always been on every console and then making them exclusive, its just daft and does nothing but hurt the gamers

 

If you mean LIMITED TIME exclusives of the full game Mexico1984, I agree. I do not care is PS gets a map early, or I get a mission and ps gets a different mission.

 

I like exclusives. There usually the best part of owning a specific console.

 

I agree Mexicola. When they are normally games on all consoles and then become strictly exclusive forever like SFV then it sucks.

 

Exclusives is cool it's the differential in the market... it's good to the companies but it isn't to users, but if you know that company works a lot to make that game you will want it.
